  1. I agree!
  2. I've been promising update photos on my 85 SVO build...Sorry to keep you waiting, thank you for your patience and for looking! Body done in Krylon semi-gloss black. Came out good the second time (had some crazing the first time...didn't 'sneak-up' on it enough) Interior done in Tamiya flat grey. Will be adding some embossing powder for carpet shortly-it's darker than the paint, so should be good. Some other bits and pieces - wheels are Tamiya gunmetal after stripping the chrome-flat black in the vents. Questions, comments...fire away! Thanks for looking!
  3. I received a gift from Jerry's brother, Jackie...two left-over decal sheets with ORRC logos! Thanks, Jackie! These were off the sheet that Jackie said was from Jerry's stash... Now. it's finished!
  4. Rom, those are ambitious ideas for paint...you can pull it off. I'd be worried that there might be too many layers, that lower layer details will be lost under the upper layers and that there may be too many competing shapes and elements. Now, that is my opinion. I'm not the artist here!! I know that whatever way you go, Romell, it will be fabulous eye-candy!! That fuel pump is stunning. This is going to be a collection of models within a model.
  5. The pictures are amazing, as is the subject. Thank you for sharing your skills with us, John.
  6. You had fun building it. I had fun following the build...nice work! I'll go check the Under Glass thread now...
  7. Righteous 1:1!! Love the old Fords...and the fact it's a wagon is bonus!!
  8. Looks good, John! The rider would get a very hot right foot!!
  9. Great build...beautiful! Love it!
  10. Very cool, Allen! I love those kinds of builds! Where did the double redlines come from? This are awesome!!
  11. Okay...so I've had a couple of stints at the bench with the SVO. Wheels were stripped of chrome and painted gunmetal. Interior is about done, just need to put some clear on the gauges, a couple of paint touch-ups and put it together. I keep forgetting to take the camera down to the bench...sorry! Body is looking good in semi-gloss black. Need to remember to paint the headliner to match the interior...alos need to mock it up before I go any further to make sure the suspension isn't too high...
  12. I'm working on my red moulded 85 SVO that I bought in 84 or 85 when the kit was new!! I hate red plastic!! I'll be keeping an eye on the engine build-up as you go...I haven't started on mine yet!
  13. Nice colour!

    Drag racers

    Both are nice!
  16. Nice job so far. Really like the colour choice.
  17. Thanks for the tip, Eric. Not necessarily going with a stock colour...just need to get time at the bench!
  18. Neat...looks like it could use a touch of chrome out back to balance the front...still cool though!
  19. Good job! I like it...it does tell the story well!! Do you need to build another to tell the 'after' story of when it gets finished?
  20. Very nicely done! The Cragar S/S wheels look great...my favourite 60s wheel!
