  1. Nice car, nice colour...gotta love the "Kermit" green on a Carrera!
  2. Thanks, Danno & Jim!
  3. Wow, cool! I like it a lot!! Nice build...very unique!
  4. Too cool!! I'd have to get a couple of sets for sure!! Go Round 2!! Great idea!!
  5. OOOOOOOO....Thanks for posting that!! I'll have to check out our local Wally Worlds!! Great to see a new police car in scale before seeing the real ones on the street! Would still love to see a Crown Vic in plastic, as our local law enforcement bought a wack of them before they stopped building them, so we'll have them for a while.
  6. Thanks, guys...I appreciate the nice comments...Jerry was a great guy, helpful always, and ready to jump in and help, and share a tip or a technique. His builds, his photography, and his photoshopping abilities were terrific...Model boxes, magazine covers, trading cards...all using pictures of models are still inspiring. You are missed, "LUKE'57"!
  7. Nice build...BMF is a pain, but what a beautiful car when done! Love the old Fords!
  8. I had a 61 Galaxie build that caught my attention at the workbench over the last little while. I did manage to put a coat of semi gloss black on the SVO body and chassis today...I thought I'd try painting the whole thing semi gloss, then gloss clear the body...or I may leave it as all semi gloss black! We'll see how the inspiration goes! I'm going for a grey interior, so will go together...I may even flock the floor...again, we'll see. I may build it OOB for a contest, so flocking wouldn't be allowed for that contest. Also glad to see others making progress!!
  9. Thanks, guys...I think Jerry was riding shotgun on this build.
  10. Nice Jags!
  11. I built this tribute to Jerry Sims, LUKE'57, posted in Under Glass.
  12. The five spokes do it a bit more for me!!
  13. W O W !
  14. Done Under Glass.
  15. I traded for a 67 issue of the 61 Ford Galaxie Starliner with intention of building a convertible class NASCAR Grand National race car. When Jerry Sims passed away in November, I decided to build it in his honour as a tribute to his building style, including hand lettering. I never met Jerry, but was encouraged by him when I built my garage diorama to take it outside in the sunshine. It is cloudy today, so will have to get some pictures when I have the chance on a sunny day. RIP Jerry. I hope I done ya proud, brother. Started with this: All done: Your comments are welcome. 16. Nice build, Dave! Some things just take a little longer than others is all!!
  17. That is one kit I've been wanting to get...nicely done!
  18. Nice work...thanks, and again, welcome!

    New guy

Wow...nothing more to add...awesome work! Welcome aboard! Thanks for sharing!
  20. Lots of great details there, John. Looks fabulous. The roof tiles, brick, window coverings, some windows open, etc...all wonderful details. The little bits of weeds/grass up by the buildings all contribute to the realistic looks of the scene. I'm going to assume that something will be covering the bare plywood side and the screw head to the right of the fence?
  21. Beautiful engine...Deserves to be in a Chevelle, and driven on the roads!!
  22. I'm with you both on this one!! The 1966 Batmobile has been a big want forever!! When they announced the kits, I just about had a Doc Cranky moment!! I find I have to rock myself to sleep some nights...Maybe I need to get some meds or something... I am hoping that each issue is popular enough to justify the next...In this case I think they will. Others don't reach a certain pre-order level, and they get dropped. The Hudson is another one I'm glad to see coming out. I'm more excited about the race version, but I'd be up for a stock build. Okay, Doc...what's out first choir number we're singing?? I'll do the Bass parts...
  23. Looks great! Truly a model car garage! Prop a testor's bottle in the corner!
  24. Nicely done phantom...love the wagons!
  25. Love the purple!!
