This is a cool Hot Rod! I had a '26 Tall T back in the '80s. I always wanted to build it up, but never did. I REALLY dig what you're doing with this one.

It looks good to me. Your next step will depend on what you are wanting. If you want a super slick and a mirror like finish, you may want to wet sand the surface up to 12000 and polish. I'd park it on my shelf as is.

I use water and regular Dawn dish soap with no issues. Even with the Createx. -
Rolls-Royce No Chemicals, No Paint, No Harmful Glues

That is quite a kick to the gut. I really like Createx paints for bodies. It's all water based and doesn't have a chemical smell. As mentioned by Pierre, Vallejo acrylics are great to work with. I've found that priming first helps with their adhesion, and Vallejo primers work well. You seem to have a love for the Silver Cloud ๐ -

I would absolutely drive the Honcho out of that truck! I've had 6 Grand Waggies over the years. I Love them! -

It has been way too hot and humid to paint anything here. Plus We've been super busy in the shop-a GREAT problem to have for sure! This particular vision crossed the noodle a good while ago. Why not get it going? Both are AMT kits with plenty of smashing, whitling, and forcing opportunities available. I'm working out the chassis now using the Corvette running gear and what suspension it offers. It needs to be lengthened quite a bit. I think it'll be a killer stance for the truck.Truck. These are the inspiration pics.

I just wasn't feeling the 572 for this guy. I ordered a blown 392 from ICEMAN a while back. I'm of the mindset he designed this engine for this kit. It fits perfectly ๐ I think the 572 looks more at home in the '32.

As far as trash in the paint goes, if you watch Donn Yost's videos on painting, he talks about plastic painting stands have static in them drawing dust to your model. He suggests using steel pipe nipples with good double faced tape. I switched to using them and can affirm there's no trash in my paint like before. I did modify a Tamiya stand with a pipe nipple for convertibles.
