Looking good Dude!

I've got some larger tubing in place on the steering unit. I'm thinking about the exhaust. I LOVE zoomies, but I'm not patient enough to attempt that right now. Not sure how 572 cubic inches would sound through cherry bombs, or how well it would breathe. I do think the kit's pipes will help map out a nice system. I believe I've got a set of NOS Sonic Turbos around here somewhere 👀

That's a cool long roof

Long day in the shop = little time at the bench. This is the crude beginning of the Schroeder steering box. I think some trimming and addition of styrene straps will give me the basic shape needed to sand/file it into shape.

This is cool. I remember one coming into the station I worked in as a kid.

Well, that's a fair observation. In my mind the angle of the shifter is perfect for this application as I could still open the door with the wheel turned all the way left. If it were a 1:1 ride I would work out the geometry for a rack and pinion steering gear. As far as stopping goes, I don't think that will be an issue. I really don't think those skinny little tires will EVER get enough traction for super high speeds. Especially sitting on my shelf. 😎

Luv Truck Build

BIG LUV! -
Aligned and drilled a hole into the interior for the steering shaft. The box is next. I've been thinking all day that I wanted a cool looking linkage on the cowl. I have some pe HURST shifters. I think that will look cool. My goal is to insert the shaft into the box from the outside.

Best looking year Cuda

Removed the molded engine mounts from the frame. I have it sitting where it should, the headers have clearance, the injector stacks have clearance.....the gearbox will not cohabitate with the driver side header. Hmmm.....looks like I'll have to build a Schroeder box to be able to steer this guy.

Swampy is for my 1st grandson's, Rabell, room. We have another grandson, Ian, coming in late July. This one will go in his room. Much like my other builds, this will take a while. 🤷🏼♂️ Let's see some of your builds for some inspiration!

Looks like the engine needs to move forward just a tic for the injectors to clear the firewall. I'm recessingvthe firewall a little for better plug wire room.

I don't think SWAMPY is going to be allowed back in the house.....probably should've rolled up the windows before going in
