I love the Testors light paints. I applied the red stripe in Testors red enamel. I used tape, but its still a little messy. I'm going to tidy it up after I do the side stripe. I applied Modge Podge Dimensional Magic to the rear window. We'll see if it helps brighten it up some 😁

I'm going to cut the pins and use E6000 to attach the wing. That w a u it's self adjusting at high speeds 🤣

Well dad burn it! I filled the 2 sink holes in the bottom of the trunk wing. I haven't painted it yet, so, I drilled the holes in the deck lid for the pins on the wing. I didn't see the other set of holes because I painted over them testing my black paint mixture. 🤕 The 2 sets of holes isn't mentioned in the instructions. I should've looked.....

I've never seen one.

You have a point. My car has 5 ashtrays and 2 cigarette lighters in it. 1 in the passenger door armrest, 1 in each rear armrest, 1 between the rear bucket seats with a lighter, and 1 in the dash, there's a lighter in the dash also.

Maybe the ashtray is in the center armrest that's flipped up. 🤷🏼♂️

Productive day. The distributor and wires are installed with separators and hold down! That bolt head is tinier than tiny! I've got some detail painting to do under the hood. I need to cut the exhaust pipes even, add the red stripe to the side, glass, assemble, decals, lights.....I think that's it. Then I can jump on the ZL1.

I really like the color of the '70 455s. I think it will look great under this silver hood. I painted the calipers with Tamiya flat red, the put clear red over that.

Working on the chassis details so I can get the wheels on. The passenger side exhaust manifold isn't aligned for the pipes to clear. Gotta adjust that.

Nice Start! I've got one in the long queue line here. My Uncle had a '78 Silverado that I absolutely LOVED. I've got the paint for when I get to it. This isn't a picture of his truck, but it was these colors. It had Keystones with Firestone Firehawk RWL tires. I've got a set of wheels too. How do you plan to do the trim? Ive got a picture from an online parts supplier showing the trim in place. I'm not sure how to print it in 1:25 scale to pre bend styrene to make the trim.

https://www.macsmotorcitygarage.com/behind-the-hidden-headlamps-of-the-cord-810-812/ I also found a video showing them being operated by hand. Looks like they pivot near the rear of the pod.
