  1. I'm going to.......
  2. It's looking good Dude. I expect Winfield, Barris, Hines, and Watson all stood back at one time and said "Meh, I don't like that" and made changes.
  3. I appreciate your offer. I'm digging how this is turning out. I'm going to add hinges to the top and have it as a hatchback style section. I'm not(never really been) a ground effects fan. This leans itself towards the sketch though.
  4. Cool project. I was hoping to see a patina Olive Drab Monsterfied ET Chaser 😁 Back in '86 I worked at a full service Phillips 66 station. A guy came in driving a '63 Chevy II SS car with a 4 cylinder and 3 speed on the floor. He was 6' 8" and I couldn't believe he fit in it! Those are cool cars.
  5. Beautiful 😍
  6. There are lots of great How-To instructions in this thread! I'm definitely going to employee hinges in future builds! I came to a wall with hinging suicide doors on a '66 Chevy truck. I tried a few different versions of hinges, but kept running into the door and body rubbing due to the shape of the body. I didn't see any references to opening the doors on this style truck anywhere. How do I overcome this obstacle?
  7. I saw this rendering on Instagram and immediately thought "That needs to be built!" So, I ordered up a kit and got started. My friend had a Tim Richmond Monte Carlo that happily donated its rear glass for the cause. I've cut the body out so the glass doesn't look like it's just stuck there. I had the extra tub for the Lincoln Continental kit to convert it to a wagon. With a little cutting it fit perfectly. I'll be using the wide body parts and have a set of wheels that match the picture just right. I'm shooting to be finished for a show in January.
  8. Neat project! I saw this rendition on Instagram earlier today.
  9. Looking for a set of COPO wheels for a '69 Camaro. I don't want them oversized ones likec3D Scale Parts sells. Thank You, Topher
  10. Yeah. I'd like to get that figured out. It didn't go flying 😁
  11. I'm going to put this back in the box for a later time. It just isn't working out. The body has cracked in 2 places. I fixed the 1st one, this one just happened. I think I'm fighting too much of a body indention.
  12. Like I had to do on the one I'm building to make sure the wheels are more centered in the wheel opening.
  13. Don't forget to flip the axle around 😁
  14. I have quite a few customers there un Australia I've restored wiper motors, and headlight motors for. The car scene there is awesome!
  15. I had a '65 in the late '90s. Warmed up small block, dual Cherry Bombs, tilt column and power steering. I bought it for $700. Pulled the oil plug to change oil and 2 gallons of gas/oil mixture came out 😳 That prompted the rebuild right off the bat. Funny how times change and people pay big money for a paint job like that 🤣 I've built a few of these trucks. I really like them.
  16. I used some magnet wire to bend up a different style hinge. Needs some tweaking, but, I think this is going to be the ticket.
  17. Here's the other side. The door rubs the body, and moves forward when it does open.
  18. Since there's a show in January not too far from me, I thought I'd get on this and finish it 😳 I'm trying to suicide the doors. So far I've attempted 6 different configurations and I just can't get it to work. I know the body isn't straight up and down, but dang. Anyone have pointers?
  19. Those are cool cars.
  20. If there aren't 1000 kits in there, I'd be surprised.
  21. I stopped by Mason's Hot Rod & Hobbies and picked up a flyer for this show.
