  1. Looking good. And yes I love rubbing out urethane as it is very forgiving as you really have to overwork it to sand thru.
  2. Would the chauffeur even have a passenger seat? I’ve seen many vintage limo’s without. I guess he needs friends too?
  3. I like the concept Jim. And I have never been a fan of the 57. Like the 55 and 56 much better. Somewhere in my stash I have a kitbash of the monogram 56 hardtop and the 57 nomad. Wanted to build a 56 nomad. Never got too far with is as the two kits leave a lot to be desired and I prefer to stick with 1/25th. So far I like your game plan and thanks for raising the roof, can alway use the extra headroom. Plus the extra space behind the front seats. One of the reasons I sold my Ranchero is the cab was a bit cramped. Hood is a big ?. 57’s could used to loose some chrome weight?
  4. It doesn’t look that bad, I think you can probably get away with a wet sand and then go for the top coat.
  5. I think our teen builder would have gone down the street to Pepboys and picked up a couple of these. He would have to skip lunch for the day as he blew his budget. Bolt them between the body and the running board?
  6. Jim, say it ain't so. Now is not the time to give up, it's the time to push thru.
  7. Interesting they put so much thought into the decals.
  8. I always preferred these in Yellow or Orange. The blue doesn't look tough enough IMHO.
  9. This is why the dogs lost their dishes. This Galaxie dash used to have a perfectly good steering wheel. ?
  10. Thanks Scott, only took me 49 years?
  11. Thanks a lot Rich, glad you approve.
  12. You are correct sir, aluminum. So that brings us back around to AMT. ? And for the kids out there AMT stands for Aluminum Model Toys?
  13. Welcome back David. Yes, ease yourself back into it. ☺️
  14. Thanks Carl. They are real nice but are flat on the backside. So might not fit in all applications.
  15. Drink out of the ?
  16. Thanks. It actually has me itching to build the 48 Ford Woody proper. Already figured out half of it.?
  17. How do you put band-aids on your thumbs if you need thumbs to do that?
  18. No, I plan on doing it. Have to do some other things in between to clear my head first.
  19. Hub caps arrived today. Bought a set of Parts by Parks Dog Dish Hub Caps. Perfect for the dog days of summer. I think they work better then the wheel covers. WDYT?
  20. Is this the one you're talking about? Bought it off eBay a while back. It's rather crude. Gonna take a CRAZY amount of work.
  21. Interesting idea, I'll follow to see where it goes. I also find it interesting that the box art show a Galaxie Police car following the Mustang. AMT makes the Galaxie in a Bond theme. Can we get Revell to do the same????
  22. Sam, been there, done that. It may be subtle but I already chopped the top on my coupe. ☺️ I actually have a resin 4-door sedan body as well as a 3-D printed 39, so I guess I'm not done yet. I must be crazy?
  23. Thanks Dennis, appreciate it.
  24. Thanks Greg, feel like I’m finally making some progress.
  25. Thanks Jim, but I was able to come up with one. Maybe when I build my next '41 Plymouth....in my next lifetime.? Now back to our regularly scheduled grill.
