  1. I may have to give you a Shelby Design Award for this one...;)
  2. Thanks RD, they are all classy!
  3. Looks like a wrecker you would see at a racetrack. Way too good to be running around the streets towing clunkers.
  4. I made some updates to the "Bat outta Hell"l van that I think made a big difference in the realism. posable steering, this by far is the biggest improvement. I'm going to try to incorporate this on most future builds. I followed a how to thread and it came out great. In fact in the design studio when we review prototypes we almost always turn the front wheels. antenna from thin wire. scratch built a skid plate from sheet styrene. added driving lamps from Tamiya rally car. adjusted and repainted front bull bar. repainted hood and used YBK chrome paint for the lettering. added emergency brake lines and fuel lines underneath. added an auxiliary fuel tank with metal straps. I wished I had done these things the first time but I tend to rush my builds. Lessons learned.
  5. I have to agree with you. It's probably not that hard with these simplified Tamiya chassis. Easy fix, good observation Bill. Thanks!
  6. Thanks Donato!
  7. Not a car you'd want to meet in a dark alley! Nice one Cody.

    Ole Blue

Great detail, something to look at in every corner!
  9. Thanks Steve.
  10. Thanks Ken! I hope to improve my photography in the future
  11. One of Virgil Exner's masterpieces. Very forward design compared to the Chevies and Fords of the time. You've done this one justice. Great customisation with the color, the ride height and the interior. Excellent job.
  12. Thanks David. One of the keys I found was to keep the airbrush clean. I stripped it twice. Once before applying paint, the second during clear coat. Primer came out of a rattle can.
  13. Nice one! I've got a Hardy Boys version of this, which is quite rare that needs a little bit of the same updates that you did to yours.
  14. Thank you Roger!
  15. Excellent looking hot rod. Paint finish on the body is amazing.
  16. Beautiful clean build. I love the realism.
  17. The added detail is great! Good job
  18. Great looking build. I think it sits just right. Any lower would look strange.
  19. Thanks Roger. I'm working on another one that will have a bit more detail. These kits are fairly accurate and lend themselves to detailing...
  20. Thanks a lot Carl!
  21. Thanks Carl!
  22. Thanks Staurt...This car has a lot of shape, so a dark colour is a natural to accent the volumes.
  23. Definitely a show stopper. Nicest drag car I've seen in a long time...
