  1. Thanks John!
  2. Why bother with the real thing. This is way better! Great job. I admire your skills and strive to get to your level!
  3. Thanks David...Photos need to improve to give it justice
  4. Thanks Espo. The Fuchs wheels are about as iconic as they come for Porsche!
  5. These definitely get the Shelby Design seal of approval!
  6. Excellent job Cody! I love your work on the vinyl roof, great detail. I bought a jar of this paint to do an old Falcon, nice to see roughly how it's going to look on a car
  7. Hey thanks David!
  8. Really nice replica Larry! I love the detail under the hood and the interior.
  9. What a gem! Beautiful hot rod. I'd love to see it in person. Good job Phil.
  10. Thanks Chris!
  11. When I first saw these in person the thought "Little Monster" came to mind. Nice model.
  12. Lovely model. A very under appreciated classic. I think Tamiya also does a pace car version of this kit.
  13. Great job Jack.
  14. Jeff, the black version of Mr Hobby sprays on at about 1000 grit (that's what it says on the can), so I wet sand with 800 which is a little rougher. This gives the paint something to bite into. Usually my first coat is a bit heavy and my final two coats of paint are thinned out.
  15. Nice paintwork Jeff.
  16. Here's some shots with an earlier 911 I built a few years ago...
  17. I started with a Tamiya 1988 Porsche 911 with the intent of building it box stock, but challenging myself to laying on very smooth black paint and also trying to improve my photography skills. I did deviate a little from the plan by adding seat belts to the interior and adding a CHMSL. After getting rid of a little flash on the body , I primed with Mr Hobby matt black which I then masked off for all the matt black parts like: bumper rubber, window seals, spoiler etc. Then after a quick sand of the primer, I put down about 3 coats of Tamiya black followed by three coats Mr Hobby Super Clear. After a few days of setting I Rubbed it out with 8000 up to 15000 polishing cloths, finished off with Tamiya fine polishing compound. The interior is a combination of Satin and Matt black from Mr Hobby. I also added Silver accents around the steering wheel and shifter as well as photo etched seat belt buckles with black drafting tape seat belt material. I used my iPhone 12 camera and I'm honestly not happy with the results. It loses focus and objects in the distance come out blurred. For my next project I will use my Nikon digital and hope for better results.
  18. Nice clean build. I like the extra details you added it enhances the overall model. Welcome Cody.
  19. These are fantastic Cody. My absolute favourite colour combination for '69 - '70.
  20. Beautiful replica! Black is not an easy colour to do.
  21. Stunning replica!
  22. Great stance on this car. I love the fun theme!
  23. I used TAMIYA clear red and yellow on the inside of the lens.
  24. I did one in the beginning of the year in the exact colour combo. I kept the wire wheels though I prefer your Rostyle wheels. Well done Lei
  25. Thanks again Noel!
