  1. X2! I like the windows up without the top look.
  2. I have seen at least one of these kits packed this way that the tires ended up with "dents" in them from the way they are cradled in that sprue. I suspect that kit had been stored somewhere hot for a time. I personally think its a good idea to open them up and check everything out. I'd say $10 was a steal, congrats!
  3. Well done. Don't see many of these built.
  4. Great pair of Chevys. The vinyl top looks very realistic. Not fond of the blue line tires however.
  5. Great model of an icon. Well done!
  6. That's a beauty! I have this kit in the stash, anything unusual during the build to watch for? Hope mine looks 1/2 as nice.
  7. Beautiful, great restoration! I didn't know these existed in promo form.
  8. Well done, the decals look great.
  9. My favorite year Thunderchicken! Great model.
  10. Well done, great photographs!
  11. Looks like you won the battle! Well done.
  12. That's a beauty! Great paint and foil work.
  13. I agree Mark. There's a ton of good info over there but they are pretty fanatical, it gets a little tiresome.
  14. Nice, I missed this the first time.
  15. That's the 2nd generation turbine car, I'm looking for the "Silent Sam" 1967 car that nearly won the race. I saw it run in person during time trials, eerily silent as it swooshed by the grandstand! Hacked one up as a kid, would love a second chance at it.
  16. Very nice. You rarely see a Judge convertible.
  17. I like this a lot, something different than a Ford from that era. Love the Stovebolt 6 banger.
  18. Very nicely done. Don't see many of these built, great job!
  19. One of the best looking new generation cars I've seen, well done! Love that paint scheme.
  20. I'll freely admit to being cheap! Most I ever gave was $60 for a kit and it worked me hard . I've got about 130 in the stash so there's no pressing need. If I ever do find a MPC 1/20 Indy Turbine Car I may just beat that!
  21. Thanks for all the kind comments. I've really gotten fond of these older classics.
  22. Great models! Are they curbside or is there an engine under there?

    Nice clean work, well done!
  24. Nice work! I've always liked the look of these cars/wagons.
  25. Latest off the bench is this Alfa Romeo Gran Sport, 1931. It's an old Union / Airfix kit, curbside no engine or much chassis detail. I figured it would be an easy slump-buster. Wrong! Cycle fenders are not fun. I did enjoy building it, comments welcome as always. Thanks for looking.
