  1. Very nice. I agree, it's your model-do what makes you smile!
  2. X2. Great color combination, nice foil work. Very clean build, I like it a lot!
  3. Cheapo "Colorplace" red from Wallyworld, $1.99 a can.
  4. No problem, thanks for asking!
  5. I do like!! Great model. Very clean work, I love the rims.
  6. Finished this one up today. Not real happy with the fit of the front and rear bumpers but it does have mirrors! AMT Round 2 re-issue, went together pretty well (except for the aforementioned bumpers). Comments welcome, thanks for looking.
  7. Outstanding work Peter. I saw this car on TV a few months back, maybe on "My Classic Car"? Hope your business venture works out, gotta put food on the table first and foremost.
  8. Not my cup of tea but great model! Very convincing weathering. Love the grill.
  9. Great model! I seem to recall seeing more of these on the street back in the day than Caddys?
  10. Very nice model, good job.
  11. Shane, is it that the primer is not covering or you can still see the indents of the door lines? If the latter you may need another coat of putty as most of them shrink a little when fully dry. If it's the paint not covering try brushing a coat of thicker gray (if you're using gray primer) first, then spraying. The aim is to minimize the contrast between the plastic color and the repair. Hope this helps!
  12. Very nice job, I like it a lot.
  13. Great model! When dinosaurs ruled the earth
  14. Did anyone else flashback to the movie when they saw Kurt Busch's Wonderbread car last Sunday?
  15. That's all well and good. We shouldn't expect to be making our own kits at home of that '53 Nash you've always wanted. I'm thinking of talented guys like you, Richard, with the know how applying their skills to expand a cottage industry to include stuff the majors can't or won't. I look at it as an expansion of the resin industry, making things easier/faster/more economically. Eventually the technology may make it to the home but probably in ways we haven't even thought of.
  16. Excellent rendition of the original, outstanding.
  17. That is awesome. And we're just scratching the surface so far.
  18. Big picture, who is paying attention to any of this other than us? If Revell's current way of doing things is working for them re: wholesalers and distributers then that's what they'll continue to do. The minute it stops working they will try something else, capitalism at work. Obviously the old way of making announcements wasn't working anymore.
  19. Wow Clyde! Glad you're able to step back and take a breath . Very impressive.
  20. Great model of one of my favorite drivers! I love it.
  21. Love Impalas, you done good! Great color scheme, nice foil work.
  22. Very nice. I like the 68-69 models better than the 70 that most drool over. Those wheels & tires really it off.
  23. I used to save my pennies until I got $2 plus .06 tax and then run to the store to buy an AMT kit. Of course minimum wage was about $2 then also!
