  1. His Galaxie was green also, I don't think it was green in that photo though (it was repainted at some point) as it was originally lighter blue but the green was darker and the grayscale in the photo looks too bright. He fitted the car with exhaust that came out from behind the front wheels; said you could see the flames at night
  2. Not 100% sure; I know what you mean though; like I have a built Revell 1957 Bel Air and the AMT version, both being stated as 1:25, but the Revell is considerably larger. As for this Greenlight Diecast, I'm not sure; I'd say it's pretty normal sized, but I do have a built 1:25 scale AMT Christine model, so I could compare the two and if the diecast is larger I would imagine it's true 1:24 scale. I'll let you know once I find out.
  3. Real cool old photos you dudes got; if I'da known this thread existed I wouldn't have posted my old car photos in their own thread. I'll shove them in here so I can say I've added to this thread. In no particular order since I wasn't around to see any of these cars in person; first off here is my Nanna's father's 1963 Mercury (mom's side of the fam). Taken on a road trip around the B.C. area, this bear stopped them on the highway in 1969. Still on my mom's side, this is my Nonno's second car, the 1954 Ford Customline. Taken in 1959. Dad's side now, his father's '67 Mustang Coupe. 289, 4-speed manual. Brand new in '67. My dad's grandfather's 1958 Meteor. Taken October 1961. During the re-colouring process, the "R" in the Meteor script was accidentally deleted. My dad's father's 1963 Falcon. Fender badge indicates a possible V8, but not sure. My Great uncle's second 1964 Galaxie. He is currently the owner of the 1965 Thunderbird I mentioned around the forum. And here he is again with the first Galaxie Back to my mom's side, this is my Nonno's '62 Galaxie. My Aunts are pictured on the fender My Nanna's father's 1953 Chevy 210. The car still exists, though as a rotten upside down wreck in a gully on my grandma's property. Shame about it, but the car lasted 9 years before being replaced by the '63 Mercury late in '62. Shown this one before, my Nonno's 1970 Mercury Marquis Back to my dad's side this is my great uncle Jim's 1960 Plymouth Belvedere, used to chauffer my grandma to her wedding in 1962. The man there was a friend of the family, giving her away as her dad died in WW2 Interestingly enough, the wedding was held across from a used car lot, so some cars got in the background of other photos My other great uncle's hot rod creation, "Snoopy" the '31, pictured here in 1965. Car still exists, all original built, though he hasn't owned the car since 1965, but it still comes out to car shows now and then. Snoopy still wears the paint from circa 1961 One you've never seen before, my dad in 1979 in front of his aunt's house in Windsor, Ontario. His Aunt and Uncle were pretty loaded back then, as you can tell by the brand-new Cadillac and Lincoln in the driveway. I was told they even had a driver for the Lincoln.
  4. Also the Trunchbull's 1970 Buick Electra 225 from "Matilda", the movie based off the Roald Dahl book. Pretty strong to lift up the rear and spin the whole car around 🤣
  5. Also did some light exposure photography with that Christine model
  6. Gotta go with my 1:24 scale Greenlight Christine
  7. Oh that’s so awesome; I only got the new hot wheels😂
  8. I’ve heard rumour of a few four door caddy convertibles having been built. Not sure they came out of the factory like that, but I have seen photos of other ones before. Still have yet to see a ‘59 in real life; one of my favourite cars.
  9. There once was a dude from Kentucky, who spent hours with his pet rubber ducky, the duck got away, twas such a sad day, it turns out Kentucky's unlucky
  10. Watched a cool little movie yesterday, Pit Stop, from 1967. Release date says 1969, but in the credits says copyright 1967. Was in black and white though but the cars were pretty cool. Especially that custom Buick Wildcat at the beginning.
  11. Airport Limos were pretty cool
  12. These count as trucks, right? The 1958 and 1960 Chrysler Wayfarer from down under
  13. That's really a neat story; I think I mentioned that my friend's younger brother has a 1969 Chrsyler Newport, big green four-door. Officially I think it's the kid's first car, too. I think he got it just last summer, for $4000. Bit of a parallel story here but you had the wagon version as your first car. Seen his green machine from a distance once, and i've seen photos of it, it looks kinda like this, just darker green and minus the vinyl top.
  14. Real cool, I dig it 👍
  15. Here’s all three together. None of these were new out of the box, I had to save them from the poor attempts by the first owners, but the Hertz one was my dad’s originally built as the white Shelby, he took it apart, and sprayed it black, rebuilding it but never finished the rebuild, so I did.
  16. Well guys we jinxed my stapler; it kinda broke in the sense that whenever I push it down to staple paper, the staple load part pops out. I did rig up something on it that has in a way, fixed it, but not surprisingly the part that broke was the only plastic bit on the thing. I just have to pull back on the paper clip there when I want to staple and it works fine.
  17. Coming along very nicely, your amount of detail is, as always, outstanding. Quick question, what spray did you use for chroming the bumpers? Been trying to find a chrome spray that actually looks chrome, and those bumpers there look just like chrome
  18. Here’s the link to my Catalina build. Gotta get my hands on the 64 GTO though.
  19. That’s hilarious. But I am going to have to wait till February to build the next kit in line
  20. Now that’s super cool. Love the colour scheme, but I may be a little biased as my 62 Catalina is also gold with dark brown interior. Awesome rims on the GTO too
  21. Oh yeah that’s all I listen to, mainly influenced by my parents and the fact that the radio stations in both their vehicles are, 80s on 8, the bridge, classic vinyl, classic rewind, hair nation, and ozzy’s boneyard. It’s all cool music and I’d rather listen to it.
