  1. Really like the Mercury Cometranchero concept; would’ve been cool in real life 👍
  2. That's a good kit, I built one too, mildly customized
  3. Just searched up on ebay to see what other 1965 issue 1959 Lincoln kts are going for, and one, exactly like mine, is $100. Mind you the windshield piece is intact and the box is in slightly better shape, but still mine is pretty great for $20.
  4. I was just thinking about that; I'd also need the '59 Cadillac hardtop from Monogram to have "The Big Three in Luxury" for 1959
  5. Yeah the price of my Lincoln totally seemed off, considering the completeness, the instructions and decal sheet were in there, but I know the windshield piece was broken in half, intentionally, but still, knowing the place I got it from and the overall rarity and condition $20 was a steal
  6. Did some research and it turns out my Lincoln kit is the 1965 issue, also the last time this kit was released.
  7. That’s really cool I gotta get one of these
  8. I did actually get it apart, there were actually no screws or plastic rings, just some snap together prongs, however one on the rear was broken off and missing before I got it, but it doesn’t affect how the car fits together.
  9. I plan on painting it, a two tone blue and just detail the car, change the tires to wider whitewalls; make it look nice.
  10. Yeah I was not expecting the price to be that low, but that’s perfectly fine. I noticed on the original price sticker which was still on the box that someone paid a buck 65 at sears in 1959 to buy it
  11. Really awesome, I just got one today, have plans to re build it.
  12. Fairlane like the one above is a cool car I like them
  13. Getting a part time job around here is actually stupid. You simply can not hand in a resume in person. After doing it online at various stores and never getting a call or anything, I figured why not just go on in to try that way. Checked online and it said that the Dollarama, for instance, actually prefers in person resumes. No no no, that’s a big fat lie. There are 5 in town, went to two and they told me the same old story, apply online. THAT’S WHAT I’VE BEEN DOING FOR MONTHS. So I don’t know. Makes you wonder how in the world they actually hire people at these stores. Thinking about checking back with the library as it was the first place I applied to, back in April and they accept hand in resumes and are super nice about it too.
  14. Well guys I finally have a vintage kit that I did actually have on my list of ones to find, this 1959 Lincoln was only $20 and it is complete, very pleased. Planning on restoring it of course. It is officially the oldest kit I have.
  15. Patience has paid off, went to our local vintage junk shop and holy smokes there was an original issue 1959 Lincoln AMT kit for $20! Just a question as it is a snap tite how easy on a scale of one to ten would it be to disassemble the car? Kinda unsure as I don’t want to break anything since it’s so old
