  1. Ok, here it is, was able to talk to the owner when it parked. He had literally just got it so this must've been it's first public debut. He got it from some 91 year old guy who bought it new and basically kept it in his garage since '73. Has extremely low milage for a wagon, and a clean running 440. It's an original Soo car, having been sold out of Superior Chrysler delaership, which still sells Chryslers here today. Has original paint and absolutely immaculate original interior. He did have to fix a few things, but otherwise, this is it.
  2. Great show. Smaller than usual, but just as nice. Star of the show was a 1973 Chrysler Town and Country wagon...
  3. I really didn't know that using an ad blocker actually stops money from coming into the site, really I didn't. I've just been using the ad blocker on my computer because on the ipad I don't use one and the ads sometimes pop up in really horrible places, and are usually advertising stuff I don't really want to be seeing, namely the Temu ads that bombard the forum when I go on the ipad. Unfortunately though, right now, I really can't pay to not see ads, can't do that right now. If free ad blockers aren't permitted on here anymore, then that's fine, I'll just have to face the ads I guess.
  4. If the pay thing happens, it's not going to make the site acknowledge I'm using a free ad block to get around paying to have no ads, right? I've been on other sites that won't even let you go on unless your ad blocker is turned off. And then I get all ads on the site. As long as the forum still lets free ad blockers stop ads without having to pay premium, then that's fine. I just don't want to pay to be on here is all.
  5. Looking clean; I wouldn't change the wheels, they do look very nice. But I am a whitewalls/hubcaps kind of guy. The Riv looks great with the stock wheels.
  6. Well that's great I had no idea; i've been doing it the hard way for over a year now.
  7. I have a suggestion; sometimes I like to go back and find past threads of my models that I posted but it’s kinda tricky going through all those pages to find it, so what if there was like a “view my threads” section maybe in the drop down in the top right, where you’re taken to a list of all the threads you created anywhere in the forum. DISREGAURD-THIS FEATURE EXISTS ALREADY
  8. I second this. Right now anyway I like the layout.
  9. I’ve seen him on the auctions on tv; that must’ve been the first time I saw him. Also really liked his other show, Junkyard Gold. He’s like a walking encyclopedia of car history knowledge.
  10. Nice and warm/sunny today. Hottest day this week is tomorrow, high of 26 degrees (celsius), should be a good, comfortable temperature in the evening tomorrow for the A&W car show. There's another on Saturday in Goulais River but the forcast has been switching all week from rain to sun on Saturday so I'm hoping the show'll happen. Right now switched to 40% rain, whereas this morning it was sun, whereas yesterday it was 60% rain and thunderstorm so I dunno.
  11. Water you guys talking about I thought glue came from old horses.
  12. Saw a video little while ago while doing research on the Jo-Han kit brand. Steve Magnante was the host and he was unboxing I believe some USA oldies series kits. That's the video where I found out Jo-Han stands for John Hanley, the creator of the company, and not pronounced as "Yo-Han" and not some Japanese dinky toy type brand that I had origianlly thought at the time since I never really knew the history about the company. That was a good video to watch. Typically though I don't waste my time watching you tube very often, just that one Steve hosted was cool, plus the model kit TV show he had breifly was neat.
  13. Meant what I said; started on the Impala last night; got mostly everything painted and assembled the interior. Assembled engine this morning, wheels'll be this evening. Should be completely done on Friday at the latest.
  14. Coupla things; my dad finally sold the set of Thrush mufflers that were on our car when we got it. $60 richer now. But then he also had the exhaust system replaced on his truck, namely the muffler and pipes. He'd been patching the original muffler for the past 3 years or so but it was really loud lately and it was done, so were the pipes. But the factory exhaust/muffler lasted 14 years under that truck so that's great.
  15. Looks a bit out of proportion; looks like an Ai rendering to me, but it is quite cool; neat idea for someone to make a model like that
  16. Got side-tracked fixing the wheels on my '53 Stude since I took the original tires off to use for my '69 Galaxie, and then a set from that kit I just put in the Stude box to put them on next time I take the supplies out so the '63 Impala has gone literally nowhere in the past 4 days. All I did was pick out a different rim/tire combo. Planning on actually starting today for sure.
  17. That drag '57 T-bird is actually a really cool idea; I drew a drag '57 T-bird in highschool and called it "Atilla the Thun" (instead of Atilla the Hun). Thought that would be a cool name enblazoned across a drag Thunderbird.
