  1. I remember seeing that and it looked very cool; I think that is what partly inspired the scheme for my build
  2. Just this morning at 8am a black ‘66 Chevelle convertible drove past the house.
  3. I remember also seeing a fun sign where some of the letters were not lit up. Also no pics but the store was Pet Supplies Plus but the “Pet Supp” was out and it just said Lies Plus.
  4. Yeah I’m not a fan of those wheels either; but the truck itself looks pretty cool
  5. Yeah it was at the shop when we went to pick up our classic; I’ve only seen this Vette at shows so seeing it then by itself not surrounded by a crowd was nice.
  6. Bought some nice chrome exhaust tips yesterday from Canadian Tire; not exactly the same size and didn't notice till after the checkout but they should be fine and should fit over the exhaust pipes. Both had the same bar code and everything so I dunno. Also the wheel opening trim should come in after tomorrow's holiday so that'll be nice.
  7. Man, that is rough. I remember my friend at school was telling me of some company guys who were felling trees by residential areas and decided to drop one on some guy's mint 1972 Camaro. Not fun.
  8. I am very pleased with this. This was a re-build from the original completion in 2021. I had painted it purple with a brush, and it was exremely thick. Never was terribly pleased with it so I decided to re-do it, and I must say I am not disapointed. Kept the interior the same, as it was black, then had the body re-sprayed gloss black, and added a black vinyl top. Kept the redline tires and rim combo, but then added a red side stripe to the bodysides. What was neat that I didn't even do on purpose, was that I started the re-build 4 years to the day I completed it in 2021 (June 27th), so last Friday. Started with this
  9. That '58 Del Ray sure is nice but that '67 Beaumont is very cool
  10. The Highway Star came back from yet again another sleep over at the mechanics; now has a parking brake and a horn that works.
  11. I would love to have this too; was hoping to build a replica of my great uncle Al’s 1962 Country Sedan, looked like this but had a silver top.
  12. The broken record is still playing: JO HAN 1960 PLYMOUTH FURY But I’d even settle for the seemingly easier to find wagon or the surprisingly hard to find ‘59 Cadillac Seville
  13. Started yet again another old build re-build, my 1966 GTO. About 3 years ago I painted it the thickest brush-on coat of purple ever applied on a model car (no joke) so just now this morning I disassembled it and sanded the body and hood. Plan is to do a triple black GTO, (gloss black paint, black vinyl top, and interior is already black) offset by a red side stripe.
  14. Had a nice '76 Ford 4x4 stepside in my rearview mirror for a bit this morning.
  15. Well, here it is. Finally built my usernamesake vehicle. Sprayed duplicolour Amazon green, and I left the white un-painted. This was a bit more of a tricky two-tone to mask off; had to "add some side trim" where the green met the white because the line wasn't perfect. Pretty quick and easy build otherwise. Surprised it had a V8 thought for sure it'd be a six but I'm not complaining.
  16. Wherever did you find one? I was hoping to grab a hold of one also to replicate Ray Veccio's boat-tail Riv from Due South.
  17. Looks good; not very often we get to see a stock 1949 Mercury.
  18. Yeah his car was very cool; favourite car at the show next to my own car. This was the first time I saw it up close in person and it is quite original featuring various period window stickers, and original interior. He even has a NOS 8 track player and a whole case of 8 tracks for it. This particular A&W show was a fundraiser for multiple sclerosis, not sure they have one every week though I think the next one is in July here. They are pretty nice shows, only 3 hours, smaller parking lot, and less spectators and more just the car owners so it’s very nice to attend.
  19. Saw quite a bit; a gorgeous tan 1974 Cadillac Eldorado convertible on a flat bed, a silver 1970 Olds 98 convertible, a 1955 or '56 Mercury, a mid-80s Dodge Power Ram, a 1967 Chrysler Newport (seen before) and a black and white 1972 Chevy truck though only got photos of three of the vehicles.
  20. It also ruins a paint job when a torrential downpour come out of literal nowhere and rains on the freshly painted piece. ( literally just happened 15 ish min ago. while spraying parts for my falcon ranchero but luckily it was just the underparts, not the actual body of the vehicle)
