  1. Probably the longest stretch, but If I want to build a replica of my own car I would probably need that if it exists.
  2. Oh yes I've seen this meme before; ha ha
  3. No photos, but I saw a little blue Datsun truck, a red '61-ish GMC, and a brown '85-ish Olds Cutlass
  4. Found out that if Roy Abernethey didn't angirly hit is head getting into a prototype AMC Marlin, the car's roofline would've been a few inches lower.
  5. Oh yeah those are nice. There are actually quite a few here in town, 6 that I know of and only one is a two-door. Plus back in the day my dad's aunt and uncle had one, and even a driver for it. And a same year Cadillac. 1979
  6. Hmmm…. knew this looked oddly familiar..LOL red with a black roof is a good colour combo👍
  7. Never get tired of seeing these. Looks good 👍
  8. That is very beautiful; I almost had one of these. Kinda disappointed I missed out on it but I am more keen on finding the Fury hardtop. Again, very well done model 👍
  9. I like this, I have to find one of these
  10. That is really neat; looks very clean 👍
  11. I was wondering what happened to him; watched his other show on TV, the Junkyard Gold show which was super cool; I hope he can come back with new episodes of that show. So did he get sick or something? I didn’t hear anything about that, just that he kinda disappeared from TV. Watched the one season he did of the model car show he had and then that was it.
  12. Really like the '64 Ford Custom 500, an abnormal sight to see for sure, and I also like the '64 or '65 Buick, and the '58 Buick, and the '58 Edsel. Also your '66 Bel-Air is a good looking car. Our local cruise is on the 20th I believe; planning on taking the Highway Star to that, as it will be our first time going to the cruise with an actual classic car.
  13. On Sunday got these; Facebook marketplace scores from southern Ont., my aunt sent them up on Sunday. Vintage car magazines in mint condition, includes Hot Rod October 1957, Cars mag November 1964, Super Stock August 1966, Super Stock November 1966, Popular Hot Rodding March 1967, Super Stockers April 1967, Car Craft May 1967, Super Stock January 1968, and Drag Strip mag February 1968, as well as the Auto Shows annual 1967-68 and I believe a 1983 Canada’s Stunt team mag. The Car Craft mag featuring an advertisement for AMT model kits, and the Super Stock November 1966 issue featuring a beautiful fold out ad for the 1967 Pontiacs.
  14. The ‘62 Galaxie I believe is in the same boat as the ‘59 Buick, also last issued in 1969 as part of that Desert Racers series. I would like to see both kits be reissued again, especially the Galaxie because I wanted to do a build representing my grandfather’s ‘62 that he had back in the day.
  15. My AMT Lincoln, last issued 1965, as was this one. And my Palmer kits are probably like the rarest on earth, but the molds are goofy.
  16. I’ve heard that’s the most detailed kit one could ever put together; though I would totally welcome the challenge if I got my hands on one.
  17. I saw this kit at our local vintage junk shop 2 years back; they were asking too much for it but it was totally cool to see it and hold the box
  18. That looks real cool, I dig it 👍
  19. That’s the song our car is named after; my dad is a big Deep Purple fan.
  20. Took the Highway Star out on its first official cruise, though I got the backseat. Already got lots of looks and comments from people walking or in their vehicles. Parked by the boardwalk after buying some ice cream, and ate in the car. Usually there are some other classics parked down there around that time but not yesterday. Only saw one classic, a '73 Chevelle we drove past. The driver in that car waved too I think. Took some photos of the view from HS.
  21. The air pollution around here lately. Two provinces down and we're getting the smoke from the Saskachewan fires. Icing on the cake is the fire started as some idiot bonfire, though the people did get charged for it. Health risk to be outside but I've got lots of things to do before it rains later this evening so I am going to just have to go out in the smog. Right now the risk level is four, so I should be fine, but yesterday and today would've been sunny clear blue sky but the smoke has made the sky very light grey. Just so annoying, especially since it was a human error that started the fire. Can't even imagine how much worse it is in Sask. Apparently the smoke is drifting over to Europe now.
  22. Went for a cruise in the Highway Star yesterday and saw a '73 Chevelle.
  23. Very awesome; I really gotta do one of these. Yours is very well done; I'd have to ask where you got the correct grille/headlight bezels, dash, tailights, hubcaps, and decals.
