  1. Looks absolutely fantastic; I've been wanting to do a mod top mopar for a while now. Yours looks great.
  2. Some nice Mopars; also like the '59 Buick and Dodge Dart in behind the old Pontiac in the second photo.
  3. Mail call yesterday. Finally got the Falcon Ranchero so I can build my usernamesake vehicle.
  4. Gave HS a hand wash yesterday after we came back. Not a cloud in the sky so the paint looked extra awesome. And the neighbourhood was dead pretty much all afternoon and it was just amazing on a beautiful day like yesterday. Hasn't been like that in maybe over 10 years. Got the spare rim sanded down more and my dad primed it last evening. No spare centercap but a plastic lid basically the exact same size and chrome anodizing from some garlic glass jar looks like it'll work perfectly after putting a pontiac logo sticker in the center. And finally later this week we'll 100% have a wiper motor installed, and washer fluid container. Progress.
  5. That looks very way cool; never heard or saw this car until just now.
  6. The sunniest day in like 2 actual weeks. Back to cloudy and rain for another week though. 👎
  7. The unbuilt stash is yet something I have to experience; if that’ll ever happen. When I started building my dad had a very small stash that fit in one box, and then I built all those and started buying my own from the store. As of now I have officially built 60 models, and rebuilt 6 of them, and right now have zero to build, with one coming by mail in a couple days. What I do is build them as I buy them; a seemingly good strategy that keeps unbuilts from piling up. Mind you I haven’t been in the hobby long so that’s probably another reason there is no unbuilt stash here, but really if you buy one at a time, and don’t buy again until one is built, that would keep down the unbuilt stash. But then you have a built stash so really either way it’s still space being used up.
  8. Took the Highway Star on a Father’s Day morning cruise, only saw one other classic, a 1974 GMC Sprint. No pic of it as we past but here’s a pic of the same vehicle at last year’s cruise night. Very cool car truck.
  9. Really a great show yesterday, loads of nice cars; especially a 1960 Bel Air that was bought originally here in our city according to the dealer badge on the trunk; an older lady said she had owned it since 1971. Also another '69 LeMans owner, though of a convertible, who had the car since highschool. Very nice cars and very nice morning show.
  10. Went east the highway for the first car show of the season, the Bruce Mines car show. 45 ish minutes on the highway which I drove; also the real first time I drove on the highway. Gotta practice for the G license test so I can then drive the you know what. Very awesome car show, better than last year I think. Loads of nice cars and some I haven’t seen before (you’ll see the pics in 1:1 car shows thread soon). Was also good because my dad was able to talk with the owner of a ‘69 LeMans convertible about parts and what not, and to get a better idea about things we need for our ‘69 LeMans coupe. Really a nice car show today it was great.
  11. Beautiful model, and that gas station diorama is way cool 👍
  12. Notice how the other two cars parked by it are also Buicks. Shows just how much superior styling was back then compared to now.
  13. Wow that Tatra sure was cool, never heard or seen one of those before. Also liked the ‘60 Chrysler and the ‘67 and ‘68 GTOs
  14. '59 Buick. Even the '58-60 Lincolns. I mean I was lucky enough to score a '59 but for others who may want to build one the kit would abviously be more accessable if it were reissued.
  15. My dad built that Reher-Morrison drag Camaro kit when it first came out around 1983. Still looks good to this day though he regrets not painting the body since the white plastic has now faded beige. Circled in the center is the model back in 1983
  16. Took HS on yet another cruise yesterday, though not another classic was sighted. In terms of action it was a bit boring, and I was banished to the backseat again, but it is always a pleasure to be in the car and out on a cruise. Now if I could just drive it... HS on the move.mp4
  17. oh yeah that's right it's just a thread for Round2. 1962 Galaxie hardtop then totally
  18. I thought about trying it myself; I could see myself probably getting away with doing the front bumper/grille, and the hood I believe would be a mix of heavy sanding away of those scoops, and I think some filler, can't remember if the scoops have the holes. I have a built '69 GTO but if I were to build my LeMans I'd probably buy the kit again. Oh and also the lower part under the bumper is different on LeMans than on GTO. As for seats; I almost forgot, my car is a bench, automatic on the tree; no buckets. But I think I have an extra bench seat hanging around somewhere. Probably not going to start this anytime soon; I still need the '69 GTO kit anyway, but I like to make sure a custom build is plausible before I actually make the commitment.
  19. Whoa that is actually very cool 👍
  20. I would so totally build the barracuda when it is released! Still waitin’ on the new release of the 1960 Plymouth hardtop though…
