  1. Forgot I had drawn this in January 2022. Had plans to find one back then, too I guess.
  2. I am actually trying to find out the story of that 1963 Ford 300; from 1970 to now, I know what it's been up to- just sitting in the gully. But the first 7 years of it's life are a little murky as I don't know exactly who owned it. I did, however, find a very important piece of info- the VIN tag- but I know nothing about how do decode it. The tag states it came from the Oakville, Ontario plant, but I think the serial number would tell me exactly when it was built.
  3. Here are some of my lil' cars. I have been collecting them since I was born, really, but one day in 2021 I had them all out and took photos of them.
  4. Here’s a question; does a 1970 Mercury Marquis plastic model 2 door kit exist? Probably a stretch
  5. It is totally a groovy piece of wall art for a garage, and you're right, this tire (and the other three) were probably replacements for the OEM, as the photo of the car with those tires is from 1975, about 5 years after this car was built, so I can imagine the originals wore out by that time.
  6. I know on the other side of this tire it is also a thin double white stripe white wall tire; and I can imagine those are easier to find, but I’ll search around maybe just for fun and see what aftermarket tires are out there. I wonder if custom fabricated tires is a thing; using the old one to make like a new one out of it; I have another one off the rim
  7. Ford Mustangs are very popular cars.
  8. Is this type of tire still produced for classic cars? Not that I need one now, or ever, but I was just curious if they do because I know some tire companies still make their classic wheels for classic cars; not sure if Tiger Paw does or if they do, not sure if this tire is reproduced. Just because this wheel and hubcap came from my grandfather's 1970 Mercury Marquis; if I were to make a sort of tribute car like his in the future, this tire may be a more authentic choice.
  9. Here's a blast from the past maybe you'd remember... this is a 1955-1960 gen Filter Queen model 200A. Last summer I restored it for my grandma as it had been sitting out in the garage for a few decades. I unfortunately never took photos of it in its filthy condition, but I did do a before and after shot of the Filter Queen badge, which gives a good idea of how bad it was. I actually used Testors spray can paint, a colour I used on my 1966 Wildcat model. It was mildly fun restoring this space-age appliance, and even more fun vacuuming her house with it afterwards.
  10. I have had those little lights for quite a long time; I was too young to remember when or where I got them, but if I had to guess, I would say the Dollar Store is the best place to find them.
  11. Here are some old wrecks left for dead. These were spotted in a hiking trail. Out in the sap lines at a maple Syrup place The '50 Chevy from the local hiking trail; 2022 photos Circa 1957 Fiat Multipla pickup converted to a snow-goer; found on my aunt's farm, left by the previous owner, last registered 1965. A 1963 Ford 300 on my grandparent's property, it was apparently my grandma's brother's friend's car, last registered in 1970. I was told it was mint condition when in was left for dead; because the straight 6 stopped working and so they took the rear axle off to use for a homemade 6-wheeled bushwacker (also ended up in the gully with this car) but then the neighbor's kids tresspassed and totaled the thing shortly after it was left here
  12. This is his car without the lights
  13. A neat way I learned to take photos in Grade 11 Photography Class. The photos here have NOT BEEN EDITED IN ANY WAY/SHAPE/FORM. What you see is what I saw on the camera display screen after I took the photos. The key is to have a car in a dark space, then leave the camera's shutter open for at least 20-30 seconds, and take one of those little finger lights and "Paint" around the car with it and the camera will capture the path of the light. This is my Great Uncle Lauri's 1965 Ford Thunderbird Landau.
  14. I really like cars like this; seen a few beaters on the road. They look so original, every dent has a story
  15. I really like this build; always nice to see the stock versions of cars that are popular for customization. ? Big fan of white walls and hubcaps
  16. Here are some more; I will keep on adding irregularily until I have shared all the ones I'd like to.
  17. Yes the 1963 Starcrest Belmont; I would love to see one of my drawings as an actual model!!! that would be the coolest thing ever.
  18. Oh I know right?! FYI it is actually for sale still, (those photos were taken last year), they want $12,000 for it, and it is posted on facebook marketplace in Classic cars in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
  19. Some old photos from winter 1964 around our city. Cars seemed to have a hard time back then in the snow. These photos are from archival sources.
