More progress, I got the bulk of the interior painted, and started detailing things out. This is my first full build since I was a kid, figured I should brush up on my skills before building something I really like.

It's a good idea. Some brands/types of paint have "hot" solvents and can cause problems, and certain kinds of paint like cheap craft paint almost "require" it for any kind of adhesion. It will also help find flaws in bodywork, sink marks and such. I use cheap hardware store primer that I've decanted.

Very nice work. Looking forward to more

Hello to my fellow hobbyist

Welcome to the forum -
I've seen some absolutely beautiful paint jobs done by some of the members here, I'm wondering if anyone used a guide coat product while sanding out primer or is that just overkill at this scale. I've used it on my 1:1 projects, and it works great at least for me.

The vendor had probably 30 kits total,2-3 of each and this was the only one. Maybe I should keep my eyes open, I know there's trading on the site.

I see that all the time. As someone who rides a motorcycle, I'm just amazed at some people's lack of general intelligence while controlling a vehicle. Bicyclists seem to be the worst . If you are on a public road, follow the "rules" of the road. I'm no Saint while driving, but I don't intentionally drive/ride as if I own the road. Lance Armstrong is lucky he wasn't turned into a "meat crayon".

I fully agree, and believe me when I say this particular onion has many layers.

Thanks, my old lady claimed it as soon as I picked it up

More flea market finds for me. Camaro was seven bucks, with "extras". Pretty decent score on some acrylic paints as well.

This really caught my eye, I can't wait to see this complete. Great work.

This is my first full build in since getting back into the hobby. Trying out the craft paint "thing" after watching a some videos and reading here on the forum. So far, it seems to be working out. The chassis is just mocked up, and I will be detailing and weathering it. This is the first thing I've ever used an airbrush on, I'm just kinda winging everything with a bit of self education and common sense.

Here's my two. Harley, beagle/pit mix, and Harper. Both are rescues, harley 8 years ago, and Harper's been with us 4 months. She weights around 85-90 pounds, and doesn't seem to think so. And harley's just "stunned".

Great looking corvette. They always look like they mean business when built like this. ?

What did you see on the road today?

Looking at my truck this morning. That irked me, it's repairable, but the principle of the situation really grinds my teeth to the roots. 20-something year old drunk at 1:30 in the afternoon decided to use it instead of the brake pedal.

Beautiful work, you are craftsman. I too struggle with the symptoms of carpal tunnel, and degenerative disc disease in c-4/5 in my neck. I'm looking forward to watching more of your build here. Again absolutely awesome work.

Cool video, I watched one with a passenger bus. It got real interesting. -
Didn't get the today, but over the past weekend picked these up at a swap meet. Both kits are open but unbuilt and still in the plastic.

Here's mine. It's what's left of kz440 after a few "idea's" when you're a bored welder l/fabricator. I also have a 73 ironhead, inherited from my late father-in-law. Between the old lady and I, we have a fleet of 5 bikes.

My name is John. Got back into the hobby about a year ago, used to build as a kid. Decided to see what is could do now after all this time. I tend to build whatever is in my head when I see a kit, so who knows what it will end up as. I currently have a prostreet/ drag and drive nova wagon, ratty slammed 32 ford truck, and an all craft paint 64 gto I'm in the process of building. This site has been a weath of information, so I figured I'd join to have the opportunity to thank everyone for there knowledge, and maybe share some things I've figured out myself.
