  1. Had to change gears tonight, the distributor deal can take a back seat for now. Touched up one paint on some parts, and did I mock-up to check ride height and get some inspiration. Got the hood fitting correct as far as height, but it has a slight warp diagonally. I also have to adress where the body meets the front of the frame, seems to be holding itself up a bit. It pretty much has all the same issues NOBLNG pointed out in their build.
  2. Thank you. I'm here to try and contribute and share in the hobby, there are a tremendous amount of extremely talented individuals here, and a very supportive group as a whole.
  3. Super clean looking build. I like this.
  4. That's exactly what I was thinking, it's more if an experiment, this is the first one I've ever wired. I've got some 32? Gauge wire i could try, it seemed small to me, but at this scale everything is. Thanks for compliment on the exhaust, that was fun to do.
  5. So the kit's distributor has tadpole syndrome, grew legs and hopped away. I robbed this one from another kit, and tried my hand at wiring one up. First time doing this, if it doesn't work out I'll probably get a pre-wired. I don't currently have any pin drill bits small enough to pull off a real nice one, so I improvised. Drilled a hole down the center, and ran all nine out of there. This is .020 styrene, that may turn out to be a mistake, we'll see. I also opened the ends of the exhaust, that's black sharpie so I have a contrast to see what I'm doing. If anyone has suggestions on the distributor, I'm all ears. Thanks.
  6. Your car looks awesome. I get so annoyed when an otherwise good paint job picks up the random speck, hair or pterodactyl.
  7. Finally properly ducted my spray booth out the window. My home was built in 1940, where my work bench is located has the last 3 windows I've got to replace, so it took a bit of creative engineering. They aren't like a typical window, they actually drop down into the wall, no counterweight or spring assist. Most likely original to the house.
  8. 14 feet is too close for me with that cat. I've seen way too many " I SURVIVED" videos. One of nature's perfect killing machines right there. I'll take my chances with the turkeys. Beautiful area you live in.
  9. Yeah, she needs to pay you some rent, or at least keep the bugs to a minimum. Those are interesting creatures, I ended up watching some videos after I read an article this summer about the joro(spelling) spider possibly making an appearance here in nys.
  10. These guys take up residence in my garage shop. That's a 2x6 it's perched on
  11. If it's not the same deer, then it's one real coincidence. We always see that one with another doe and it's fawns. We assume it's the same one.
  12. The rest of the herd showed up this morning, there is six in this picture, including a doe with a broken leg, she's been around for the last 2/3 years, these guys seem to be taking care of her. My wife also informed me that the fisher is back, any suggestions how to get rid of them? It's my understanding they are a protected species here in ny.
  13. It did! Dad was big into prostock back in the day, and threw the book at this thing. I remember him calling it a "hand grenade". But it would sing up past 7 grand.
  14. I definitely agree, funny how some window frames and what-not change the look. It really is the little things I suppose
  15. I like the '74. My father had one when I was in my early teens, had a high strung 283 with a 100 shot of nitrous. Fun car while it lasted.
  16. Nice job on the battery, looks good. I've had great success using a brush with the molotow, haven't tried foil as of yet. My current build is practice as well.
  17. Nice little fleet.
  18. Nice truck, I own the gmc equivalent.
  19. At times. Lol
  20. Bit more work done tonight, made the non-existent power steering bracket, touched up some paint and got the engine ready to finish up, not really thrilled with the carbs, so l left them off for now. Making that braket was a challenge, there's no real good images, and things aren't exactly in the right place/shape one this engine. I basically connected the dots, and made an approximation of what should be there. I also put up some pics of the opened door handles, that was a fun first time. Driver's sides a bit thin, It can stay that way, it's fragile.
  21. Thanks, first time ever doing this.
  22. Ingredients and manufacturers info. I was originally looking to tamiya but there are no hobby shops local to me that carry much in the way of modeling. I prefer to support small businesses when I can.
  23. I like the scale cinder blocks and clutter in the background. Looks like a full size "get it done with what I got" situation. Nice work
