I was able to finish up installing new directional lights on my wife's motorcycle. It's nice when a tap will actually cut a thread.

Some of my first exposure to metal was Black Sabbath and Ozzy. Rest in peace Ozzy.
-
Chinesium grade thread taps. These things couldn't cut a thread in a stick of butter.

That engine is a work of art.

I with the price of tires, especially good ones, I can't blame you. The tire wear must be a gm thing, mine does the same with a good alignment, tight front end and rotation. Must be driving style.

What did you see on the road today?

It happens. Too hard on the brakes, lock the back tire. Probably a new rider. At least they were ok. -
I can't really complain service wise, we've had some serious weather related issues that slammed the whole area, at that point you do what you can do. We do have the random black out when a sub station or transformer gives up, i chalk that up to maintenance schedule and age of equipment. What gets me is it cost me twice as much in service and delivery fees than actual kw/h used. To me that's just another name for a tax.

1972 Ford F100 "Iron Man"

Amazing build and a great story. Beautiful 72 ford. ππ -
Welcome to the forum Don.

Yeah, National grid just had a huge "campaign" about their new smart meter. They touted it would save you money, a ton of people saw their bill jump in price. I opted out and that's an eleven dollar fee a month. They should change their name to National greed.
-
Did they take an estimated reading of the meter and bill you according to that? National grid here in NY has done that to me in the past. If so, dispute it.
-
That looks fantastic, and with the custom flair you're giving it, that may just be exactly what it should have. ππ

I studied and used the same tutorial. Very useful and informative.I had good results. A light, steady hand is a must.

I'm sure it did. Albany NY area, so probably runs down to NYC. Same idea.

I've seen the bidding wars that comes from that handy work. My friend had a small used car dealership. He would pick up something with a bad engine/transmission or police impound and a parts car to go with. The police impound cars were interesting at times. We picked up a 2017 jeep grand cherokee, perfect except for the interior, every seat and panel was cut and pulled apart. They even sliced the seat belts.

We do the same thing. As a "bonus" this wall is a foot of riverstone, stays cool most of the day and acts like a supplemental heat source in the winter when the trees are bare. It faces east, they used their heads back in 1940 when they built the place. One 10,000 btu air conditioner will cool the entire place comfortably because of the shading and how they built the place.

Thanks for posting this. I've been poking around trying to figure out how old these are. The zip code date is a big help. I don't plan on using these, I'll probably find a small case and put together a little display of old modeling tools and products.

The gentleman had said they were built by Austin, and imported here by AMC. This is only the second one I've seen in this condition, I've seen a few in wrecking yards over the years. They're cool old cars you don't see everyday. -
I used to hunt the auctions a few years ago, bought my Mother a Nissan that ran roughly at the lot, turned out to be a disconnected injector. Car had a brand new timing belt, and all new tune-up parts. Whoever did the belt didn't check their work, and we reaped the rewards.

The smoking gun that was mentioned was the rapid cranking. Their internet was probably not available, youtube university was closed.

Full parts cannon Salvo.

Found some packs of OLD x-acto #11 blades at a yard sale today. Cool old packaging, no bar codes. Still sharp with just a touch of rust. Anyone have any idea how old these are?

Whether there's interest or not, post 'em up. You may end up showing someone a trick or tip on building similar. Builds can get buried pretty quickly, I just stumbled across yours. Looking great so farππ
