  1. Horn Blasters sells good tanks on Amazon. They have them down to around a half gallon size. Vai-air is another option. These are actual pressure vessel tanks, so there's a safety factor and less risk of a suprise.
  2. That looks great Don. A couple bumps in the road but you persevered and got her finished. Each kit is practice for the next one, looking forward to your next build.
  3. Nice work on this 67, it looks mean. Awesome color choice as well.👍👍
  4. Yes, the environmental factor was exactly what I was getting at. I had neglected to do a thorough cleaning after storing the a.c. in my garage for winter. There are mold test kits available here in the U.S., how good they are I'm not sure, and if theyare available elsewhere. My situation was a nasty bacteria (legionnaires)found in nature, one of those kind of rare incidents. Hopefully you are able to remediate the problem.
  5. That's rough man. I've seen videos of professionals repairing them, as a metal worker I look at musical instruments as works of art. No doubt that's gonna be costly.
  6. Nice work on the gauge. I've never had a sharpie do that, paint pens and molotow have done that to me. I've taken to either airbrushing it,which isn't an option for you,or a brush. Is bare metal foil available to you? Your build, and ingenuity with this project is very interesting and educational to follow. On the topic of your condition, the air purifier is a fantastic idea, when I was hospitalized they believe it was from the window air conditioner. I had just installed it the week prior and became ill the next day. Keep up with great work, sir.
  7. Beautiful work. If it had a 265 in it, you'd swear G.M. made them. Stunning job with this one👍👍
  8. Same here. Not knocking any creator, but the wealth of skill and knowledge here vastly eclipses what I've seen on YouTube. I use YouTube as a "third source", if at all, for a technique or product review.
  9. Awesome work on that interior. That cage looks perfect.
  10. Great looking coronet.
  11. I had sent you a p.m. sorry Carl https://www.walmart.com/ip/Display-Stand-Action-Figures-Height-Adjustable-3D-Printed-Holder-Base-Dummy-T13-Versatile-Angles-Accessories-Easy-Stop-Motion-Showcase/17421802444?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=102633091&adid=2222222222817421802444_102633091_14069003552_202077872&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=42423897272&wl4=pla-319455734609&wl5=9004634&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=5469174572&wl11=online&wl12=17421802444_102633091&veh=sem&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=202077872&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwsrFBhD6ARIsAPnUFD0vgZNnsCrWahuSeTH-XXsVG9-keL2mCH_E4a34CYJPuQKV9P3a7pQaAhsxEALw_wcB
  12. Watched that one last night. The scanner was interesting, they used it to re-create the venturi for the carb.
  13. That's a crispy one. Nice work so far.👍👍
  14. Wired the MSD on the Chevelle, among other things. This was fun.
  15. Thanks for the tip. I've only used it for some detail painting so far. I see now why it's the go to product. I'm pretty meticulous with prep work, it's everything under the paint that makes it nice, but as you know something will usually pop up.
  16. Tamiya paints. First time using them, yup I'm sold.
  17. You've built a stunning Gto,Bruce. That color is absolutely beautiful out in the sun. 👍👍
  18. The Desoto wasn't even entered in the show and was drawing a crowd. My mother had a dodge sportsman van when I was a kid, had to take that picture. It was a good show, probably 125 cars or so. I went mostly for the racing, they had the F.A.S.T. class (factory appearing, stock tire) running. Basically factory stock looking cars running WAY faster. It's basically all the bench racing stories turned into reality.
  19. Give 'em an inch. Just enough to hang themselves. Then it's "welcome to the find out "segment of tonight's program.
  20. Figured I'd add a bit of my experience so far. Biggest thing I've noticed is while it is more durable, it will take fingerprints before the laquer is applied. I think the heat from hands does it. Short term handling is no problem, I inadvertently had my thumb resting on it and back to square one. The other thing is,like most of the other products, the smoother the surface it goes on, the better it looks. Obviously. Also I noticed while cleaning my airbrush, there seems to be less "pigments" than molotow floating around. Either way still a solid product for the price IMHO.
