  1. Absolutely looks great.πŸ‘πŸ‘ the engine fan will "pull" junk past the engine, you got more grime behind the blower, just like real life.
  2. Think about "how" the parts you're trying to weather get that way, and reproduce it. For road grime it's more grays, thin blacks. Oils are more brownish black ect. Honestly I mess around till I find what works right, and textures add a ton of detail you may not get any other way. It's all an illusion. The frame was rusted first, then painted to simulate a hastily done spray bomb job, so that's exactly how I did it.
  3. That looks just like his kit seat. Different trim levels perhaps?
  4. Craft paints work great for weathering, as do artist chalks. Washes, dry brushing and all the other techniques are all fun just to experiment with. This is actual rust ,ground fine and "glued" with createx 4030, before and after paint pictures
  5. Fixed the sink hole in the dash and foiled it. Gets easier after the 4th time, lol
  6. I added the chrome trim to the seats for my Chevelle by carefully carving a groove and adding a length of 26 Guage wire. Maybe 32 Guage would work in your case
  7. 95, feels like 103 with a little breeze.
  8. Some things(vehicle door hinges) should definitely be bomb proof, especially the driver's door. I learned just how heavy an 80's gm g body door was as a dumb 16 year old.
  9. Trashed the work on the dash, sometimes you got it,sometimes you don't.
  10. Vehicle problems of the miniature variety seems to be today's theme,I just trashed all the work on my chevelle's dash.
  11. Beautiful truck, maybe a spotlight to fill the hole?
  12. Already 77 and high humidity, it's supposed to hit mid nineties today. Just a gross, humid day.
  13. Over the top with this one Zippi. Beautiful work throughout. πŸ‘πŸ‘
  14. Looks awesome pat, this kit is on my must have list. Very nicely doneπŸ‘πŸ‘
  15. I've owned a few decently fast cars throughout my life(regal t- type, '65 skylark with a nailhead, and lastly my '05 "big turbo" vw gti to name a few) all in the 11-14 second range. Never wrecked anything until i hit black ice, and ended up becoming intimate with a guardrail in the the biggest turd I've ever owned. My 98 ranger. It only takes one variable to change the outcome.
  16. Having a lathe opens up a whole other world of options. πŸ‘πŸ‘
  17. Kinda my thoughts, it would be nice to find something locally that's the right color, no flake. My biggest issue with "metal" colors.
  18. Glued, primed and painted the engine, I think I found a pretty convincing color for holley carbs, we'll see after a bit of detail and wash.
  19. I'm up to try anything, I don't want the dog getting a hold of them, or them getting in the house. They dug themselves a small hole on either side and come running out almost every morning.
  20. Nice save!
  21. I have a constant battle, not with geese, but the deer and squirrels/chipmunks. Constantly into the bird feeders, and eating plants. I've put a lot of work into my property, it was in BAD shape when I got the place. The critters were here before me, I just try and keep them from getting into the gardens and feeders. New this year is a nest of chipmunks under my front steps (hollow concrete), my one dog tries to chase them. Gotta figure out how to get them to move on without any crazy measures.
  22. Funny you mentioned this, a dispensary just opened up across the street from where the photos were taken about a month ago, I saw the whole flock grazing on the fresh hydro-seeding. Bare spots everywhere now.
