  1. I don't blame you one bit, that's looking great man.
  2. For those that use pcb drill bits I found a Starrett scribe that fits the drills perfectly and acts like a pin vise, with an 1/8" collet.
  3. Opened up the sealed hawk weird-ohs kit I picked up the other day and it's doubled. I've got two complete sets of parts in one kit. Is this common with these kits?
  4. Beautiful bel-air. Great color choices, 55 is my favorite year out of the threeπŸ‘πŸ‘
  5. Absolutely. I try to handle what I can, those things within my control , worst-case situation sit and wait or leave. If I could have found a generator that ran on fuel oil, I would have. To be clear, not "prepper", we have outages fairly regularly where I live. almost every winter or wind storm brings down lines either on my property, or nearby. Anything over a day(10-12 hours) we take off to family or a hotel. We've had 3 day long issues a few times.
  6. Living in a city, you probably don't have the option for an emergency generator, correct? That was the smartest decision I made with my place. Between the well pump and oil furnace, the whole house is electrically dependent.
  7. Sharp looking '68. I really like the white with the stripes and red lines, and that interior is gorgeous. Very nicely done.πŸ‘πŸ‘
  8. David, there was a product called "future", an acrylic floor polish that modelers used as a clear coat, it's no longer available. I believe the replacement for that is called "quick shine". I wonder if something like that is available to you,and if it would seal the silver sharpie so I doesn't transfer or wipe off. Nice work with installing the windshield and back glass, that's the one step I'm most prone to having issues with.
  9. Welcome to the forum. That's a beautiful merc.
  10. From what I see that one ain't too bad, either. Anyone else tired of black primer?
  11. Nice work on this gto. You nailed the look and I like that you kept it pontiac powered. πŸ‘πŸ‘
  12. Saw this Olds today. It's a bit rough and was running rich. Wouldn't be a bad project car.
  13. I just knew you were going to build one of those from that other thread. That looks awesome
  14. I was exaggerating a bit, but honestly expected it to be a little heavier. Kinda surprised by that.
  15. To quote my old Plant Manager, a retired Marine: disasters/catastrophe's are a series of small incidents and decisions that lead up to an event. There's no such thing as an "accident".
  16. Clean looking Corvette. That color looks amazing, excellent choice.πŸ‘πŸ‘
  17. Definitely coming together nicely David.
  18. I few I spotted yesterday. Wish I had gotten better pictures of the two fords.
  19. I'm up in the air how I want to build that one. It's way outside of what I normally like or would build. There's a few ideas floating around, and it was five bucks, so why not. Nice work on yours, by the way.
  20. The turquoise/black with the white interior is a beautiful combination. Very nice choice there. Nice detail work on the chassis as well.πŸ‘πŸ‘
  21. No, they are ferrules for electrical connections. The flared end worked almost perfectly for the stock exhaust. Guys use them for injection stacks as well.
  22. Fatal flaws and poor workmanship can be hidden, or in plain sight.
  23. Beautiful work and a neat subject, I saw my first one in person this summer, a different year and in need of restoration.
  24. That front end gave me a fit, I had to strip it and start over 3 times. I couldn't do anything for the emblem on the trunk, next build I'm using foil under paint for anything like that, but I'm being critical of myself. Thanks for checking this out πŸ‘πŸ‘
