  1. So this actually runs and drives, correct. Absolutely stunning.
  2. Without detailed picture's with measurements, or another builder that's done the same, it would be difficult to say. I understand working within your means, and with a "favorite canvas". Most swaps need some trimming, build up ect. Some almost drop in, other's its almost easier to completely scratch build. Going from a one piece chassis to multiple or Vice-Versa will most likely snowball into more work elsewhere( interior, engine placement ect). Just some things to think about. I'm all for people trying different things, learning and having fun. Kinda the point of a hobby. I'm not familiar with either kits, so this is just food for thought.
  3. I see a bit of the nascarlo going on here, cool idea. I've got a couple nascar kits just for the same, I'm thinking an old Hudson or Mercury. Looks great so far.
  4. This is what's known as an oxygen thief. What's the fine for parking in 2 handicap spaces? And who "hard parks" a Kia? Are we 12 years old? They should have come out to this.
  5. More rust work. Still have to seal it, I've had enough for tonight.
  6. Had the same issue a few months ago, wife has one of those wireless chargers, held me over till the parts showed up from amazon. 20 bucks, 20 minutes one youtube video and I fixed it. Might be worth a shot?
  7. Looking good, any plans for a rear defuser, or just the exhaust out the back?
  8. Welcome back to the forum, very clean looking builds. That super mod looks awesome.
  9. Great gtx, one of my all time favorite cars. The decal on the front fender says it all. Beautiful job
  10. Heard about this on my way into work this morning. Horrible for the families involved.
  11. That was the altered wheel base video, correct . If so I watched it. Cool technique, yet another way to do something. And another tool for the arsenal, so to speak.
  12. Great choice with the engine, I'm dealing with the same issue with my current build. The paint and chassis look killer on this. 👍
  13. Very classy looking 56. The black and red combination really sets the look perfectly. Well done.
  14. Stupid question, maybe too late, but there is a leading shoe, and a trailing. Did you reverse them by mistake?
  15. Thank you.
  16. Beautiful. Awesome color.
  17. Thanks
  18. Thank you
  19. I fully understand this technique, on certain jobs in my profession I've welded blocks to plates in order to push/pull them into place, either with clamps or hydraulic force. This is similar, and as long as the "stiches" aren't too tight and methodically spaces, MOST stresses can be controlled and minimized. I like the idea, there's 1000 ways to get something done, this is another tool in the belt.
  20. Very interesting build, looks good. You never see grand cherokee's done this way in 1:1. That chassis fits really well, and the engine placement looks right. Was that a "happy accident " or planned? The only thought I have is maybe open the very front of the hood in front the bulges.
  21. I've learned with sheetmetal, controlling the amount of heat soaked into the panel goes a long way to saving work later. Hammer/dolly work is just about a lost art, something I made sure i learned and practiced, I've even done old school "lead" filling, though the stuff eastwood sells is not exactly like the old stuff.
  22. I hate falling. I'm in the same boat, at least 1 time a year, no matter the season, it happens.
  23. Seems like you can't count on anyplace having what you need , let alone a shipping company actually getting it to you. And IF it shows up, it's junk out of the box. I'm my case, this is a cheap 3 handle set up, I'd be better off changing the whole unit, but of course, old house, water shut off doesn't work so I have to kill the water at the well and that's not happening on a Tuesday in winter. Funny thing is we planned renovating the bathroom this spring. Murphy's law.
