The shower broke when I got home from work, and naturally the orange big box store did not have the cartridge to repair the issue. Pulled it apart and flipped the cartridge upside down, shower works now, I can live without the tub spout till the weekend. Plumbing work in winter. Yay.

That's a cool looking truck. I like the choice with the rear fenders and the headers. The wheels/tires suits well, too.

Great job on this. I like the way way the bmf is wrinkled to look like bent and missing chrome , the paint wear, especially the roof, and the rot the looks like everything I see here in NY. Cool look with the diorama, too.

You might be in for some fun work, kawasaki didn't really "keep" paint codes, and being a government vehicle the were most likely specifically ordered. Your best bet like stated above is research that site, and look up actual surviving bikes. The kz1000 is a very popular platform, so you'll have some luck.

This is the way. Some forget to de-burr and clean the back side as well. I would have tigged it, but that's just me. And Beverly shears are awesome, I love mine.

I've got 3 L60-15 if that helps. One is untouched, the other two have the "webbing" cut out. Not horrible, not perfect. Let me know.

Thanks, the stock wheel/tire really bugged me, another member here was building the same kit around the time I joined and started, the pulled off a perfect look with the stock set. I wanted something something I'd see as a kid in the late 80's-90's.

I made the fuel lines, hobby wire and the insulation from some very small electronics wire. Part of the linkage is photo-etch, the rest is again hobby wire. The exhaust tips are from the kit, hollowed out, and hit with molotow chrome. And a lot of clean up work. They were flash 3/4 of the way up. Thanks for asking.

Thats funny, I've got a scale version sitting on the shelf. The horrible mpc kit. That's gonna be fun. Thank you for the compliment, the pics I was going off of turned out to be a 421, so this is definitely a day 2 build

Clever idea, I'll remember try that next time I need to do something like this. I was looking for a rough, hastily done look. I think a nice even bead would way more difficult to reproduce at this scale, not to mention color and shade. I'll have to give it a try

I tried not to go overboard, this whole build was a ton of first times. Airbrushing, wiring/detailing,bmf, ect. No better way to learn but to do it. Thank you for the compliment.

What's the working time with this? Does it set up quickly or do you have time to shape or contour with it.

Started weathering the cab and bed, and added a few scabbed on patches to gramps old truck. I also toned down the amount of rust on the frame, the black right over the rusted frame gives it a good look, no preparation, just spray bomb it. I think with rust on the cab/bed, I'll get the look I'm going for. Thanks for looking.
