I use 30 gage "wire wrapping wire" for my sparkplug wires. Then metal wire inside that is what I use for those clamps. And thanks for the kind words.

1972 coronet. I find those fuel mileage numbers highly dubious but thats beside the point. Why do people still insist on clinging to the concept that older is better? I have a '73 plymouth and I love driving it but my 2000 corolla is ten times better , reliability wise. All those carbs and those linkeages and set screws belong in the scrapheap. Depending on the weather, it idles too rough or idles too high. Sometimes its too lean or too rich. My toyota on the other hand always starts, idles at the same speed in all weather, never overheats in stop and go and doesnt sound like a giant shopping cart on a bumpy road. My friends call me crazy but if I ever modify the drivetrain, it will be to install a v6, the kind in those new challengers.

Is that the new Baracuda? The one that doesn't have the right shape?

Just wondering how hard it is to dissasemble promo kits. Are the parts glued together or is everything screwed together. Would like to build a 67 eldorado and this looks like the only possible way. Thanks

I would not be too concerned about little pieces of dust. You will get rid of them during the wetsanding process. I swear most of the dust that gets in paint seems to be dust that just happens to be floating down between the paintcan and the part. I use a old shoe box. Cover it immediatly after. I find it helps when its a little too humid.

Just curiuous but.... if a rich uncle left you a badass vintage car, would you measure every angle and section? Would you be offended and refuse the car if something was a fraction of an inch short or extra? Just saying. Cars came from the factory with various defects. Trim not extending all the way to a door. Different door gaps ect ect. Wouldnt it be easier to just pretend its correct. Unless the guys from barrette jackson are frequent house guests..nobody will notice. Sorry for the rant.

I am.guessing that a large part of the market are still people buying them for children..of whom, most dont add detail like spark wires and problem dont know a cylinder or how many of them are in a Hemi.

Thanks 1930fordpuckup. Yeah..theres a black plastic o-ring on one end of the piston and a yellow one at the other and they look dry and cracked. Yeah I searched the cambell parts database for "piston" and got 2 pages of parts including piston ring kits..but still no idea what kit is meant for my model BUT..I found a few places that service cambells in my town so it should be a piece of pie to bring in the piston and have them change the o-rings.

I thought of that. But the problem is not that air isnt getting from the tank to the airbrush. The problem is that the pump is not putting any air INTO the tank. I am pretty sure the piston is the problem but I cant find a place to buy a replacement.

Was just wondering if anybody else has had this problem. I opened it up. Tightened any fittings that could leak air. Theres only three. Took the pump part appart and the piston seems a little loose in its bore. I brought it into the house in hopes that condensation has frozen solid in the neck. Anybody have any ideas?

Seats look confortable but don't suit a vintage car. But thats just the opinion of a person who can't wait for "pro touring" to die. Everything else is pretty badass.

I bought a box of partially built models car years ago and this one was in it. I just took a look into a few years back to see if there was anything I could use fir future projects and I couldn't see anything. There was something funky going on with the taillight bezels. The engine is basic. The bucket seats and console are all one piece. If you can get one cheap enough..buy it, build it. This might have been state of art in 1969, but dated now.

looks good. But all mopars of this era had body color firewalls and inner fenders.
