    '69 Chevy Nova

I love the color. If I make a critisism, it would be lacl of flocking inside but the awesomeness of the exterior makes up for it
  2. Very cool.

    AWB Nova

    Love that color. Very badass
  4. A V8 rear drive sedan might sell but not well enough to make it last more than a few years
  5. These are painted with spazstix. I prefer it to alclad.
  6. Not sure how obscure this is but I have never seen another.
  7. Im a little confused. At this point , it looks like you had something almost in its first bodywork stages. http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo141/turn1wonder/In%20Work/models2012imsaberetta17.jpg And then this... http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo141/turn1wonder/In%20Work/models2012imsaberetta18.jpg Dont mean to question your method but you worked so hard and then chopped it up again. But still cant wait to see it done.
  8. Badass galaxie. Keep going
  9. Got some work dont on the chassis. And the dash... I grinded off those nipples and will use pins for the knobs. Hope it works
  10. The one one the left is what I am looking for. Not sure where they came from. I used to have quite a few, but these are the last ones I have. It says polyglass gt L60-15. According to my research a L60-15 is equivalent to a 285/60-15. Looks out of scale to me. It is about 13/32 of an inch wide. Diameter is about 1 1/8. Thats about what I am looking for. The wheels? I dont know until I start building a new kit. I usually can a way to make them work.
  11. I am beginning to run short or tires. I only build my model in the california style with the wider tires on the rear but have now run out of useable tires. If a model kit comes with custom tires they are usually something low profile which I cannot use. In fact I have been using mismatched tires for awhile now. I like something like a 255/60-15 which it appears is a G60-15 in the old tire code. Now modelhouse does not seem to have any and if they do, they must be in some even older code beacuase everything is a T- something number. Anybody know a good place to find some goodyear polyglass 255/60-15, not nessecarliy goodyear but that size?
  12. I have always painted that part red oxide becuase that is the way I have always seen it. And I like to paint it this way. The extra color adds interest to a chassis that is mostly different shades of grey or black. But possible some came from the assembly line unpainted or painted in black. Make me wonder where people who restore car get they're information. Even floorboards. Some are red oxide, some are grey, some are black and some are body color. Who knows whats correct for a certain year make. Just paint it the way that pleases you.
  13. Very badass !! I gotta get me one of these.
  14. I would like to say first that of all your projects, this has to be the one I have the least interest in. But the techniques that are involved in it are a awesome teaching tool for everyone. Or should be. One thing in particular I would like to see more of is the way you get the tiresto look so real. JJ
  15. Not so sure I like the color of the floorboards. You can get embossing poweder is a closer shade of blue, but everything else is looking so badass. JJ
  16. Looks better without the trim . Will have to remeber that when it comes time to build mine. Very badass so far
  17. Thanks, the hose is the same stuff I use for spark plug wires. 30 gauge wrapping wire. In photographs, that hose seems to be more or less the same as spark plug wires. The two hoses that go from the pump to the windshield seems to be a bit thinner so not sure what I will use for that yet.And the clamps are thin strips of those pans that pies and cakes come in. I dont think I will use them again becuase they will break if you bend them too many times. I will probably try a soda pop can next. And the wheels I will alclad.
  18. Slowly working on this right now.

    Very badass. My favorite automobile.
  20. Looks alright now. Dont understand the red starter motor and blue alternator tho
  21. I have been collecting refernece photos for the nova I am building and have noticed that there seems to be no door locking knobs. Just out of curiosity, how do you lock the doors from the inside?
  22. Thats the ones
  23. That motor looks serious
  24. The top arm is held in place by one of the water pumps bolts usuallt but nobody will notice once the water pump pulley is on. Oh and also for anybody building a chrysler motor, the alternator is held on with one long bolt that threads thru the alternator and right into one of the heads. The alternator pivots on this bolt. One arm is used to adjust the tension at the top. What I do is drill a hole in the alternator and glue a piece of stiff wire into it and drill a hole also for the block super easy. Small block cheverlots much more complex
  25. This thing is badass. Is that BUTTERNUT YELLOW? Thats strong. I like it.
