  1. These are all badass but my vote is the 1961. Best year for coupe devilles in my opinion. Even Elvis said 1961 was his favorite year for Cadillacs ! That is top shelf !!!! Where did you get that? I need one
  2. One one thing. The thing on top of the water pump going to the manifold, is supposed to be a rubber hose. Might want to give it a little black paint but other than that, everything is top shelf !!
  3. I disagree with you choices. The badger 150 is the better brush but if I were you I would upgrade to something gravity fed. Much easier to clean. I have had nothing but problems with my 150. The needle bearing might give you lots of headaches. Goto the badger website first and see what they have. Thats where they put the blemished product. Right now there is a badger 100 for just over thirty dollars. If you do buy a badger make sure it has the screw in bearing. And check out the online buy-sell website in your area as well. I just found an Iwata eclipse for 85, never used.
  4. Same thing happens to me brother. Use more clear if you have too. I noticed alot of orange peel in the clear. Rember that the smoother the surface is, the less sanding you will need to do. Actually, when I went back to the primer stage, it looks to me like its the surface of the primer that is the problem. Primer it, then hit it with some wet dry sandpaper, maybe 1000 grit , then spray the color coat. That should help.
  5. Lookin badass brother !
  6. Interesting idea !!!! . But in my opinion, those decals on the door and roof and windscreen look rediculous and need to go. I am not sure if this is already glued together but what would be interesting would be too only have the drivers side scoop as part of some kind of cooling sysytem for the turbocharger.

Just need to polish down the body and start to assemble it. Put four coats of clearcoat so hopefully I won't burn thru it.
  8. I have using 2 part epoxy glue, much stronger than white glue , but much more messy.
  9. Ok, so what grit do you guys start with? The 3200 grit detail master paper seemed like the quivelent of perhaps 1000 grit autobody paper. More than enough to get rid of the orange peel. Keep in mind, I am not trying to get that ultra glossy look, , just glossy, swirl free look, if that makes any sense.
  10. Thanks, how much clear do you apply? Surely going over it with so many different pieces pf paper , you would burn thru the clear before getting to the end.
  11. Recently I tried my first black paintjob and I just cannot seem to get that smooth finish without tiny scratches. Normally I use a piece of 2000 grit paper from the autobodt store and soak in in a bowl of soapy water for a lil bit. Then hit with scratch-X, now I use swirl remover. I was happy with that but with black it does not hide these super small scratches. I bought some detail master 3200 paper and this stuff is as gritty if not grittier than my 2000. Should I try the 6000 or 8000 paper?
  12. Samples of flashback weekend 2011. Hugest and I believe the last car show this summer. more at my link

  15. Some sample pics from this years labor day mopar show 2011.
  16. goto some car shows in your area any chance you get. Ayways good way to see things like that.
  17. This thing has more finish than helsinki!! Model of the year potential !!!! In the top 3 of the year by far in my opinion.
  18. Badass! but one word of advise, but a dullcoat over their clothes. They look like they dressed in shiny vinyl.
  19. What happened to taking the cars to dragstrips to see how fast it can go?
  20. The money is there, just poorly spent. Divert a fraction of the 200 trillion defense budget.
  21. Cras were not seized becuase of lack of video evidence but I bet this will be on youtube within days.
  22. Then I propese a contest of global proportions. Let us see which country can burn off the most fuel in a year. We can decide the location of the summer olympics this way. But serious. We do we even care in the first place I wonder. Nothing will change too drastically for the good or better in our lifetime. As long as theres enough fuel to drive my beloved 73 plymouth when I retireand have time to do so, I should be happy.
  23. Yes, you are correct Mr.Cranky. That is what we should be buying. They looked like hit every ugly tree on the way down, but very roomy and practical. They require a 220 socket?
  24. I estimate the most I have ever carried in my basket would be 20-25 pounds, actually I would say 15 kilos. Once a 14 kilo box of cat litter plus a few other things. Not much more than my overall body weight. Transportation, emergency vehicles, military will always need petrol. Trains should be playing a bigger role in transportation. They have electric trains now that levitate with some kinda magnetic field. Cannot be hard to convert to frieght.
  25. Hope not to offend anybody , but we as north americans are dumb. Europe has much higher dependence on public transportation and thing like bike paths. Very extensive train networks. Even in my city, we are about to have our first rapid transit corridor, but phase 1 only goes a few miles. At the end of the track is an abandonned rail yard. A developer wished to build a series of high rises at this station so people could live near there and take the rail to downtown. But the people living nearby protested killed the project. So who is going to drive 10 miles to park their car there and then take a train for 2 miles. I suppose bigger American cities already do this system.
