  1. The metal wire inside plastic paper clips works good too, easily bendable but holds shape
  2. Cant wait !!! This is gonna be badass !!! Leaving it a hardtop? Jeff
  3. Ah ok thats what I needed to know. That settles it then. Thank you
  4. So if I want to use paint from this can of "acrylic enamel", as a wash? What do I thin it down with? Water or mineral spirits ?
  5. So if alclad says that I need to use a enamel basecoat, they mean it can be applied to anything that is hard and durable?
  6. Iwas just wondering if somebody could explain the difference between this can of gloss black acrylic enamel duplicolor and a gloss black can of testors enamel. What I mean is acrylic enamel and enamel the same form of paint. I need to find something to replace these small testors cans for my alcading. Too much is wasted as I cannot seem to get the last bit out of the cans. Has anybody used acrylic enamel under alclad. I notice plasticote gloss black enamel in a big can. They make good primers, but not sure about theyre enamels. thnxs Jeff
  7. Wow that thing is badass !!!! Too bad we can barely see that beautifull motor.

    1966 Fairlane

Bah !!! A new problem. Is is just me or this engine seems to sit far too low and raising it will raise the tramsmission as well. Not right for the camshaft pulley to sit at the bottom of the radiator. No way the heads and manifolds will have room to fit as well. I suppose that explains why I had to carve out the sway bar to make the oilpan fit.

    1966 Fairlane

Some small update. Chassis was started and some other things.
  11. My next prodject. !966 Fairlane, made by AMT I believe. So far not much done. Still waiting for the warmth to do airbrushing. The front sway bars and strut rods were molded into one big chunk of plastic on the frame so I carved it out and made new bars. Also I was bored so I made my own shock absorbers and added a few details to the leaf springs. My plan is to paint the body black and interior will be tamiya deck tan. Jeff
  12. I have never seen such fine detail. Congrats to everyone !
  13. Very badass indeed.Copo camaro cars can have Rs front end also. There was even one at the last barret Jackson auction.
  14. only you can make that choice. If it cannot be easily seen, I do not care. Like why bother to try to paint a carb a proper color or even paint it at all. Most time the aircleaner covers almost completely.
  15. That tip is awesome. But it there a way to make it rigid ? So that is does not slump down on manifolds ,fan belts etc ?
  16. I cannot invision this thing with a factory produced color but I know you can make it work. Good job.
  17. This thing is going to be badass !!!! I love the technique with the rear window molding. I have a amt 66 nova with this problem. Thank you.
  18. The beauty of this thing is tremendous !!! You did a very good job with the interior as it looks like a pretty primitive design but now looks awesome. Awesome choice of color !!! That is the color I was speaking of. The interior color you chose is exactly what I need for my fairlane. I would very much like to know what it is.
  19. That is completely badass !!!! What color is the top? Looks similar to a can of krylon antique white that is almost empty and I cannot find it anywhere. Would that be suitable for that off-white leather interior color ?
  20. Don't forget things like netflix add to that bandwidth. If you stream a HD movie thru your internet that about 15 gigs right there no? Is the reason for this is to disable the movie piraters, I hope it excludes things that we download and payed for.
  21. That is completely badass ! Nice looking engine compartment.
  22. Why do you need to remove it ? If all these things wont disturb it, no form of paint will either. I just scuff it a bit and paint over it, no problem.
  23. I don't think pontiac has a factory anymore. But I agree it looks badass.
  24. Wow, that looks totally like how it would look if it was real. Wicked cool !
