    1966 Fairlane

Bah !!! A new problem. Is is just me or this engine seems to sit far too low and raising it will raise the tramsmission as well. Not right for the camshaft pulley to sit at the bottom of the radiator. No way the heads and manifolds will have room to fit as well. I suppose that explains why I had to carve out the sway bar to make the oilpan fit.

    1966 Fairlane

Some small update. Chassis was started and some other things.
  3. My next prodject. !966 Fairlane, made by AMT I believe. So far not much done. Still waiting for the warmth to do airbrushing. The front sway bars and strut rods were molded into one big chunk of plastic on the frame so I carved it out and made new bars. Also I was bored so I made my own shock absorbers and added a few details to the leaf springs. My plan is to paint the body black and interior will be tamiya deck tan. Jeff
  4. I have never seen such fine detail. Congrats to everyone !
  5. Very badass indeed.Copo camaro cars can have Rs front end also. There was even one at the last barret Jackson auction.
  6. only you can make that choice. If it cannot be easily seen, I do not care. Like why bother to try to paint a carb a proper color or even paint it at all. Most time the aircleaner covers almost completely.
  7. That tip is awesome. But it there a way to make it rigid ? So that is does not slump down on manifolds ,fan belts etc ?
  8. I cannot invision this thing with a factory produced color but I know you can make it work. Good job.
  9. This thing is going to be badass !!!! I love the technique with the rear window molding. I have a amt 66 nova with this problem. Thank you.
  10. The beauty of this thing is tremendous !!! You did a very good job with the interior as it looks like a pretty primitive design but now looks awesome. Awesome choice of color !!! That is the color I was speaking of. The interior color you chose is exactly what I need for my fairlane. I would very much like to know what it is.
  11. That is completely badass !!!! What color is the top? Looks similar to a can of krylon antique white that is almost empty and I cannot find it anywhere. Would that be suitable for that off-white leather interior color ?
  12. Don't forget things like netflix add to that bandwidth. If you stream a HD movie thru your internet that about 15 gigs right there no? Is the reason for this is to disable the movie piraters, I hope it excludes things that we download and payed for.
  13. That is completely badass ! Nice looking engine compartment.
  14. Why do you need to remove it ? If all these things wont disturb it, no form of paint will either. I just scuff it a bit and paint over it, no problem.
  15. I don't think pontiac has a factory anymore. But I agree it looks badass.
  16. Wow, that looks totally like how it would look if it was real. Wicked cool !

    1967 Chevelle

First under glass. Perhaps will take daylights pictures if I get any.
  18. That color is badass, correct or not. Wicked just the way it is.
  19. Is there going to be rear sideglass? Theres no way a window of that shape would be able to roll in the door. But beside that this is badass !!! The thing I always did not like about those 70 camaros was the front end.

    Porsche 930 Turbo

That thing looks serious. And that turbocharger must be bulletproof to server as a wheelie bar also ! nice work
  21. Amost finished. Just need to do some touchups. First time I used epoxy type glue and the stuff got everywhere even though I used gloves when I touched the tube or anything around it when I mixed it.Theres epoxy glue fingerprints everywhere that I had to polish down to become less noticeable. Also when the shell, interior and chassis were joined, the geometry of the front fenders changed and the front bumper then did not fit as it did before. I had to fight with it and rubbed some of the alclad off the edges. So I must touch that up too.The hood does not fit right anymore as well so I have to find a way to shave some off the sides without chipping pieces of paint off. I don't have anymore of that color so this scares me. I made one big mistake because the wheels are 1:24 scale and might look a little too big. Bah.
  22. Wonder what this thing will go for. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=624&aid=403&pop=1
  23. That looks absolutely badass !!!
  24. thank you for your help. What is the best way? Freeway 51 or freeway 101 south to Tempe ?
  25. I am seeking information of any hobby shops in Scottsdale area. Last year I was at one on baseline road and went to another on southern but it was not there anymore. But hopefully there is something closer to north Scottsdale. Oops one more thing. What is Hobby lobby? I remeber seeing lots of those down there. Is that Arizona's version of michaels? Thanks Jeff
