  1. Thanks, the hose is the same stuff I use for spark plug wires. 30 gauge wrapping wire. In photographs, that hose seems to be more or less the same as spark plug wires. The two hoses that go from the pump to the windshield seems to be a bit thinner so not sure what I will use for that yet.And the clamps are thin strips of those pans that pies and cakes come in. I dont think I will use them again becuase they will break if you bend them too many times. I will probably try a soda pop can next. And the wheels I will alclad.
  2. Slowly working on this right now.

    62 Belair

    Very badass. My favorite automobile.
  4. Looks alright now. Dont understand the red starter motor and blue alternator tho
  5. I have been collecting refernece photos for the nova I am building and have noticed that there seems to be no door locking knobs. Just out of curiosity, how do you lock the doors from the inside?
  6. Thats the ones
  7. That motor looks serious
  8. The top arm is held in place by one of the water pumps bolts usuallt but nobody will notice once the water pump pulley is on. Oh and also for anybody building a chrysler motor, the alternator is held on with one long bolt that threads thru the alternator and right into one of the heads. The alternator pivots on this bolt. One arm is used to adjust the tension at the top. What I do is drill a hole in the alternator and glue a piece of stiff wire into it and drill a hole also for the block super easy. Small block cheverlots much more complex
  9. This thing is badass. Is that BUTTERNUT YELLOW? Thats strong. I like it.
  10. Cannot wait to see this one complete. Very badass !
  11. Very bizzare looking vehicle. I dont remeber that from the movie. I remeber seeing lots of harley davidson type bike but not that one. Sure is badass though.

    62 Impala

This thing is badass. Nice job
  13. Why I gremlin may I ask?
  14. Cannot help you with youre question but I would say that if the car looks better lowered, lower it. Acurate or not. In my opinion, all cars look better with a 2 inch drop. But the actual purpose of this posting is to ask you how you made the redlines on the tires.
  15. Good job brah. Wacky battery and engine colors but overall...Badass !!!
  16. What I do is grind the top of those distributors almost flat . Those nipples are tapered and grinding them down gives you a lil more surface area to work with. And the spark plug wire boots slide over those nipples on a real car so you dont want them there. But if you do this you should make some new boots from phone wire. Now what I do is make those little holes just big enough for the wire that I am using for spark plug wire and glue them in the holes. Make the holes deep. I drill the holes until it comes out the bottom. After all 8 holes has wires in them, I cut small pieces of phone wire and slide them down the wires almost to the distributor. Then a small dab of superglue and quickly slide the phone wire the rest of the way to form a boot.
  17. Yeah phone wire is the best for the boots. You will have to enlarge the hole a bit to get the 30 gauge wire thru it. Btw, an easy way to do the sparkplug boots is to drill phone wire sized holes thru the heads ( before they are glued to the block ) then stick the phone wire thru the holes and glue then from the inside. Then bring the wire thru the holes after. That way, if you cut them too long , just slide them thru the boots until it looks right.
  18. I got your back brah !!! I like it too. Very clean. Resemblence to the camaro but less busy. True hardtop design. I would like to see more pictures but a google search gave me no photos of this car. As for naming it a chevelle? Whatever. What difference does it make. The chevelle badge is most likely only to draw people in. And even it that is the name, why must it have to look and sound like a chevelle? The days of V8 powered passenger cars are numbered, although it might not seem like it now. Even the V6 will soon be phased out. But that aside, in a few years I will be in the market for a new car, and this might be an interesting alternative to a civic or corolla.
  19. Ahh yes Harlington in the state of Texas.
  20. Going to a place called Westlaco later this month. The airport is in a place called Harlington. I assume these two cities are not far apart. Anybody familiar with this place and know if there are any hobby stores in this area? Thanks JEFF
  21. My pinvise has a chuck at both ends, one for small bits , one for larger. But even the small end wont grip them anymore, perhaps I will try the glue idea. Thank you
  22. Was just wondering is anybody has a tip on small drillbits. My pinvise does not accept small drill bits anybody. Not sure if its just worn out. The pinvise does not grip the smaller bits. Perhaps a pinvise meant only for the smallest bits? Thanks Jeff
  23. Looking very badass. But I would recommend getting rid of the starter motor. The motor in question could only be a motor to propell the power seat and it would have been under the seat, not under the car itself. But still gonna be a awesome model, car.

    My 2011 builds

Wow every one is badass !!!! Can't wait for the 2012 crop !
  25. Mr. Obsessive that suspension looks top shelf. One question however. If you make the control arms adjustable, did you not have to build also some form of adjustable ball joints?
