Brian, I stretched the kit's sleeper. -
I thought sure that I'd posted this one here before, but I went back several pages and couldn't find it, so pardon me if I did, but here is my White Western Star. I gave it a sun visor, lengthened both the chassis and sleeper, changed it to dual exhaust, and gave it custom paint colors. Pothoven served a couple of independent gas stations that my uncle managed back in the late 60s and early 70s.

Nice job on a tough paint job. -
I just finished a nostalgia build on the original AMT Peterbilt wrecker. I opened an original box with the blue wrecker and built straight from the box as I wanted to keep this as close to the spirit of how I would have built it back in the early 70s as I could. This is one of the hardest builds that I've had in a long time; not due to quality or difficulty of the kit, but to keep myself from digressing and building it the way I would now. I'm sure that a repop is going to be coming soon, and I'll let myself go then. For now, this is my trip back to 1972. This is the box it was built from. I sure hope that the next time AMT repops this one that they use this artwork.

Like has already been stated, the colors work well together and help accentuate an already well built model. -

I just can't think of the words to describe how amazing your models are. Each one I see is better than the last; if that's possible. -
If it was any better I'd think you had a shrink ray and some poor fellow was out looking for his truck. You did good.

Gino. Don't worry about being wordy. I too live in an area that is miles from the nearest modelers. Your work is amazing, and a wonderful tribute. -

That is very nice attention to detail. -
This is a magnificent work of art.

I think that the plates were in the kit. I'm not familiar with each states laws, but they were better than some of the strange "personalized" plates that the manufacturers place on the decal sheets. Thanks for the info.

Mark, I just placed it in the pickups under glass section.

This is a 48 Chevrolet coupe which is the new offering from Galaxie Limited. The first cars I ever owned were a 58 Oldsmobile 4 door hardtop and a 48 Chevy coupe, purchased together. This represents what I would have liked to accomplish with the Chevy. This ios a great kit and well worth the money.

Back in the late 60s or early 70s there was a song called Delta Dawn about a woman waiting on a corner for her lover that jilted her. It's possible that this "ghost chaser" may have found her lover. My 14 year old Grandson has been visiting from Iowa and wanted to build a couple models while he was here. This is his second. He's got the talent and I hope he continues when he gets back home to Knoxville Iowa.

I've got one that I built some time back. ome of the detail was a monster to BMF. You did an excellent job.

Sledsel, be sure to post it when you get it done. I want to see it.

Next up from Moebius ?

I would love a Kaiser and buy one or more in a heartbeat, but I'm not sure that they would sell well, but then I guess the same could be said of their bold move with the Hudsons. I would think that a good move on their part would be a 61 Ventura 4 door hardtop or Catalina station wagon. Equip the wagon with a realistic trailer hitch for hauling the 2 door hardtop to the drags. I could also see a Desoto variant off of their 55/56 Chryslers.
