  1. The question of some of the old S series Internationals came up on another forum some time back. It was discussed that there were licensing issues that would prevent them from happening. If this is the case, I'd sure like to see them work around the issues. I miss those old trucks.
  2. The curved cupboards were a real pain, but the rooms are both finally stating to look like what they're supposed to represent.
  3. This is beautiful. I love the colors and your workmanship.
  4. That's a good straightforward kit. The instructions are good and should have no problems with it.
  5. Because of the way that the trailer is positioned, I wasn't able to get under it to see the suspension. The model that I'm building will be in a case, but will still get jostled some, so I'm cheating on the suspension, and building rigid mounting. If I was going for accuracy, I'd do more research, and build a proper suspension. For tires and wheels, I'll be using the gray "bud" wheels from an Italeri or ROG (I can't remember at the moment which produced it) Pete Alaskan Hauler kit. That kit came with a choice of "chrome plated" or molded gray plastic wheels. They're very close to what's on the trailer I'm modeling.
  6. This would be a fun scratchbuild/kitbash project.
  7. It sure is. That might give us another variant of AMT's lowboy.
  8. The MRI room Some of the office electronics taking shape The office beginning to take form.
  9. This is a trailer that I'm building for the local hospital. Many people are intimidated by the very mention of MRI, but when faced with the trailer, that intimidation increases. The hospital will be using this model to show people what they will see when they enter it, and then to be able to explain what will transpire during their trip. The hope is that they might be put more at ease if they know what to expect. I consider it an honor to be able to build this for them. This is the exterior of the trailer I'm building. The bed and MRI unit. Closeup of the modeled MRI unit face. The walls, top, & floor roughed
  10. There is a ton of inspiration there. I really like your excellent weathering.
  11. Almost any of the AMT kits are good for starters, but I would suggest the Ford L series van kits. They go together very well, and because of how many are still out there, they're relatively inexpensive. The Pete conventional would be right in there too.
  12. Even unblinged Western Stars still look classy.
  13. That looks fantastic in UP colors.
  14. That's one machine that will never have to worry about a parking space!
  15. One could use the design of the phonebooth as your inspiration. It could be built from wood and glass and/or plexiglass, and sized to fit an area in your home.
  16. Back in the 80s, I discovered how valuable some of my models had become, and I started selling them. Soon, every model I saw had dollar signs attached to it. My hobby became a business, and soon the fun of it left. I was lucky, finances caused me to have to sell nearly all of my collection, and when I was finally able to get things back together again, I'd discovered the hobby as a hobby again. Today I might occasionally sell a model, but I don't do it for a business. I do some projects for others, but they're done with no money attached. Be careful. There are many that can have enjoyment from both the business and the hobby, but it's way too easy for the business to take over the hobby.
  17. My wife was watching a show on building fish tanks, and one that they built was on using a phone booth as a tank. This gave me an idea as a way to display models. An old style phone booth would be an excellent way to display fire trucks, taxis, wreckers, and police cars.
  18. This could be deemed a "stretch of the imagination". It looks cool.
  19. I love the Titan/Astros, and yours is an excellent representation. The stripes look perfect. I really wish that Chevy/GMC had left off the little side lights. I always forget to detail them.
  20. I don't think that I've shared this one on here yet. This is a White Freightliner that I built as a day cab, rebuilt the 10 hole wheels into 5 holes, added air conditioning, and added the wrecker unit from the Peterbilt kit.
  21. I will be getting several. I want to try to make a 4 door and a convertible, but I also need a dirt track stock car.
  22. That car carrier can drop those 55 Buicks at my 20.
  23. It's too bad that they didn't come factory with suicide doors. They look cool.
