  2. Ditto, see you next week at Randys
  3. Ive sent stuff to people in the US and recieved stuff both from stores and indivuals .It takes longer than normal mail. Its the customs that holds it up,much slower going south than north.Your homeland secrurty has to moniter us radical model builders
  4. Just reading this thread, these cars were /are popular and it makes sence the model manufactures built lots of them also I personaly like the Tbirds, especaly the sc In Canada you could get a ranger diesel, along with nissans, toyotas, chevetts, and volvo cars,I dont know if the US got them I drove a ex police ltd bodied fox once and swear that thing had 351ho just like the trucks and vans in it
  5. Use tape. Sure is gonna be purdy
  6. I'm far from a perfct painter, but here are a few basics Warm the cans up in some hotish water. This gives a finer spray. Sanding between coats ,getting finer as you go especially the clear should give you fine result. Also if using metalic dont sand the final coat till a coat of clear is on it fist.
  7. I got them from a friend. Jerry aka phoneguy at MODELTRUCKIN.COM is who makes them
  8. Scott, thanks for the tips.I've only used tamiya paint once years ago,I wanted a pink and white 56 ford and tamiya had pink.I do remember that one can was touch and go to get the paint job done.I understand yellow is difficult and should be put over silver,I have a can also.Is this true? Dave, it was reissued in 2008. Oh btw I like your youtwitface joke
  9. Well not quite today, last week is close enough.Found 2 mack kits at the LHS,not often you find 4 year old issues of a mack truck.I missed them the first time ,so I had to get them.I also got 5 sets of decals from modeltruckin.com My camera messed up after this first photo. Mack cruiseliner, decals and paint
  10. just got the truck, paint yesturday and the decals last week from a friend
  11. I meant to type that. I didn't know they were that much HP.The one in the KW was 435 ????
  12. The astro is a 8V71 and the kw is a 8V92TA. A general has a 8V71n
  13. Here, have a look.Main case is alum.,Tailshaft and pan cast iron. This photo maybe an older version than the kw so maybe its not quit correct ,do not know for sure A rebuild, paint as you wish. A new paint, various shades of silver. Old ,silver and rust with grease
  14. Dennis,no link,I scanned them from an old overdrive magazine.I googled them once and only a couple pics on the net.
  15. You can get some sleep now Dennis The liberty was a later B.I think I read that the steering wheel was unique to them. The bell is behind the dribers door,no close ups of it though here is the coe
  16. I'm the one that asked why,not the guy talking about his wheels,so calm down, count to 10. Start by not using capital letters, and Bens wheels for the trailer. Now back to your question I would start with a R model modified to fit a coe ,rather than a cruiseliner because the cruise liner has a axle mounted steering box. Evil had a KW before the Mack that had a 296 wheelbase with the fifth wheel 2 feet behind the rear drive axle.I assume the Mack was the same.I'll see if I can find out the size of box and trailer for you in my books
  17. Why??Maybe other truck builders can learn something new. This is a discution forum,no? Ben can you post pics?
  18. the first batch were w925 200" wheelbase,350 cummins,4x4 trans.,steel wheels,39.5 foot trailer later ones had cat 1693,auto.all had 3 100 tanks K100 350 detroit,auto,42 foot trailer freightliner coe 350 cummins,44 foot trailer white road comodes
  19. good pics, looks like fun .Demo cars would be a great modeling subject like a rock.......laying in a field motionless I think Chuck called a code blue cause the heartbeat has stoped
  20. Wow,that nice.It's like a super vans magazine layout
  21. it should be fine, but remember loggers were much longer than the east coast wheelbase the gm has
  22. Welcome to truck building.I also have those trucks on my wish list.Maybe start out with a amt chevy titan ,or kW to get your feet wet, they build up nice, lower parts count and are cheaper. One thing that makes any truck build easier and its how the factorys did it is to assemble the frame then paint it whole.I prime the parts on the tree first ,then clean the flash and glue joints, glue, touch up the primer then paint. One more thing with trucks almost any thing is correct, unlike automove.
  23. Dave yes it does .I dont have the kit in front of me to check, but its a big list .Can't wait to get at mine.
  24. Oh boy do I feel stupid .I totally missed the part about the american graffity coupe.I thought he was talking period correct.I agree with what Chuck said above,a duece is probably the most popular rod there has ever been.Every hot rod guy would like one
