  1. those sifi kits are wackey. Thanks for the ski-doo images
  2. When I was a kid I had a ski-doo kit, maybe 1/12.I've never seen another one in person or on any forums
  3. Very, very nice.I'm glad you decided against the luggage rack
  4. I'm not sure what engine is in the thing.if someone can tell you that, you'll find detailing articles here http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/model_magazine_articles/car_modeller/
  5. Bill, you've puled another great freightliner out of your hat.I like the chrome steel wheels
  6. great build..I like the colours. I see ferrari wasn't the first with a testarossa Can't wait to see it finished up
  7. too bad we were talking about M.A.N trucks. That little "zoomie" pipe sire would be a pain with the smoke from older diesels. It just shows how clean the new engines are
  8. it had a 318/auto combo 296 wheelbase, notice that the 5th wheel is behind the axle.I believe the measurement is 2 feet behind the rear center line In 1971 it cost $99,000,$40,000 just for the base tractor. This configuration was a truck/trailer not a tractor trailer
  9. Dave they offered CAT power http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truck_brochures/gmc/gmc_general_1986/general_1986_09.html
  10. I think in the near future we in north america will be seeing more of this style. The facts are diesel technology is just about at its limit for fuel economy,so the next step will be aero.A coe when the trailer tucked close to the cab is more areo than a conventional, even more so with the real long ones. Our "outlaw" style petes with 10 feet of frame between cab and trailer will soon be dinosaurs.Maybe drom trucks might become the norm to maximize load capacity, thus hauling more freight in the lenght package to have maximum efficiency
  11. I think mack r model tanks would work well for these.
  12. it must have a detroit leaker in it .Nice plush interior
  13. check this article http://www.constructionequipment.com/know-your-pass-filtration-basics
  14. Go SMOKE GO ok maybe Carl or Matt The first race will be the best one to watch
  15. I think that's the problem.I used to use them about 10 years ago.One day I noticed some stuff was melted into the case, some other cases were fine.I think its a chemical reaction of the different plastics
  16. true, true, true If you want to look at pick-up's go to the trucks section. If you want to post a pick-up post it in the trucks section. How much more simple can it be. I was a member here when the pick-up builders didn't want to post in the "heavy truck " section and got there own spot . I got an idea ,put the pick-up and rigs before the cars, its a long walk to the getto at the bottom of the page.Just joking Harry Some people need to back to kindergarden and learn how to get along with others
  17. No,just dopey answers.Don't let the few responses (my earlier one included)here be an indicator of how thing are. Welcome to the forum
  18. Smoke another one.Do you put laundry soap in the clothes drier??? OK ,I can understand rigs ,suv's, or pick up not being your style of builds.Have you noticed commuting to work or school on your skate board, or even looking out your window that every 3rd vehicle out the is truck based.
  19. The cut off date for a street rod is/was '48.I could be wrong but does that rule still exist? I've seen pics of tri 5 chevys at hot rod events. hot rods till late 40's Street machines till the 80's Pro street to the 90's After that you get pro mod tuner falls in somewhere with pro mods Wouldn't a chrysler 300 be among the first muscle cars? I'd think the term muscle cars never really came to be till people started liking them again in the 80's after lots were crushed in the 70's due to gas prices. Not sure if someone in 1970 who wanted a judge went to the dealer to buy a "muscle car"
  20. You guys think the lone star is ugly, those cat's are way worse. No style what so ever.I like the lone star, can't wait to get at the kit.I'm sure if guys can get some of the amt's together what ever problems with the lonestar kit should be a piece of cake compared
