  1. Harry,we need a new thread to answer your question, lets stay on topic
  2. The pick up builds should be put where the moderators want them. things have been organized and reorganized to give the truck models a place Why would you answer "under glass should be just that any and all finished models" thats not the place
  3. Harry, its just that some posts said american cars containing canadian made parts, along with other "off shore" countries.I know canada is foreign to the u.s.,but u.s. automakers get the profits.complaining about a canadian made part in your american car doesn't make sense.SORRY for over reacting
  4. why are some of you guys talking like Canada is some third world country using child labour to build inferior car and or car parts.other than some closed minded comments in this topic it sure is intresting
  5. If the Canadians were all up tight about buying Canadian owned car companys only as some americans, we would of been out of luck when bricklin closed.
  6. just buy a used car ,than it doesnt matter, your not supporting companys that will fail again
  7. intresting,I beleive that it doesnt matter where the company originated as long as jobs are in your country.I live near oshawa a big GM town,we just lost a couple thousand jobs, again. The cars that are built in oshawa now are realy" world "cars, the platform is aussy holden.I tried linking wickapedia to ontario built cars but it wouldn't do it for me.Even a VW is built in windsor.I go on the nascar forum often and lots there would have a fit if this was posted there, they hate toyota with a passion
  8. I like it.The flat bed is great.I like the mud flaps on the truck and the fenders on the trailer
  9. I forgot to mention that along with the rear suspention, the freightliner also has a 250 cummins.Just turn the oil pan around to cleat the set back axle
  10. Chuck ,thanks for sharing.I know there is one ,maybe two pictures on hankstruckpictures .I tried to find it,but there are only 100000 P.I.E. pics to search,so I haven't found it yet. I think Ive seen another version also on this www. thingmajig. If I was to build it, I'd start with a paystar frame toned down abit ,with say AMT frieghtliner steering box and rear suspention, just because of the set back axle and the wheels look real close.A 250 cummins from an autocar is ideal Who's gonna build it
  11. the fine print stated while supplys last.your a day late
  12. Nice paint job.Great stuff
  13. unlike today people used the truck bed for hauling, fill it up
  14. Smokey was a legend.the rules only say what you cant do.Now adays Chad Kanus is called a cheater for reading between the lines.Nascar is a spec series any more, too bad it came to that,It should be run what you brung
  15. I like what youve done,a lot intresting
  16. Rick it was.I saw it once when I was a kid http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_320150-White-Western-Star-4800-1977.html
  17. I dont think the cab sits too high.I you need to lower it move the hinges up higher, and secson the frame mounts.the astro has groves in the grill that the hinges sit in,the titan grill doesn't
  18. maybe a transformer from a amt lowboy kit woould be a good start
  19. is 1/25 coolent a 50/50 mix? is 1/25 12 volts 12 volts? Great pictures guys
  20. Well, never heard of that,I'd like to see some info. Lots of cab sharing was done. Here is what i know on this history subject.Im sure there is more Mack used the basic shell of the ford BUDD cab,FWD used it for a while too.FWD used the dodge C cab,it was built by BUDD also The international emeryville cabovers. conventionals, and low c.o.e. used a REO designed cab. Whites and diamond reo,and later westernstar used autocar cabs Henderickson used international cabs and Ive seen one picture of a c.o.e. with a peterbilt cab. Hayes and Brockway used mack cabs, when mack owned them. When hayes was briefly owned by paccar the c.o.e. used a pete cab . Pacific used international cabs. Scot and a cement truck named RRC used a ford louisville cab There is a late model KW c.o.e that used a euro cab, forget the models though.
  21. The cab is a dodge cab, ford a ford cab.Dodge stoped the cabover in '74 and all class 8 in '75
  22. Look at some eight pics(more plentiful),a 12 is the same just bigger. They are kind of plan fuel lines and such are internal http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/model_magazine_articles/car_modeller/cm07_may_1991_detro/
