  1. The timing of this discussion is perfect .Last friday I received a freightliner junk yard box and immediately got to work making a double bunk. My plan is to do an early low mount cab. Sean your picture gives me some direction
  2. 335 cummins would of been a big power option.I recall something about high horse power cats needing an extra long hood compared to the "standard" long hood to fit a deep core rad.I guess cats needed more cooling
  3. center of the front axle to middle of the tandem for a 3 axle center to center for a 2 axle Plenty of online pictures confirm this
  4. modeltruckin.com has the decals lots of colour choices also
  5. Thanks guys. It was fun building a collector kit, first time Ive had this kit Sean, the 5 holes come with the kit Mike, the fifth, wheel got forgot its not glued on and will be painted
  6. to back date a revel cab isn't a big deal.Change to lever style door handles and move the door window frame back to make the vent window bigger,A day cab rear window would be real small also
  7. very nice job on my favorite truck
  8. here you go http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truckkit_instructions/
  9. fantastic.I also think you should build a race truck for it. google GATR for ideas
  10. I prefer the classic look, but if you cant beat em ,join em. Figured it was time for a trendy custom.I made up some crossmembers and am trying to take apart a pete cabover rear suspension. If all else fails with the rear end I can get a new one from a friend
  11. I put a 3406 in an autocar.A little filing for the front engine mount and it fit perfect. The upper rad hose and drive shaft matched right up as a bonus. I need to finish it sometime, the twin intake plumbing was giving me a few fit issues, but that's my own doing it didn't need to be so complicated.
  12. I recently started this.My plan other than some sheet stock for chassis and rear fenders it will be used parts only. Frame, around 300 "wb Snap pete front clip- Cab-
  13. nice touch with the headliner
  14. I cant see it being a walk-in.You would walk right into the bed
  15. I found a picture but I can get a link or copy it for what ever reason. On the above picture if you notice the vertical seam line between of the hood and cab that seam follows right down into the "fender",The lights are part of the hood
  16. correct.I will try to find out where the pivot point is.not sure if its at the front of the cab or the front of the fenders where the hood sits
  17. the cab does tilt on these. The hood tilts up like a car then the cab tilts
  18. highway, the k100 got the square lights later. The reason I say that is there was canadiana editions in 5 different paint schemes for different regions of Canada. The conventionals were B models witch had square headlights but the coe had round headlights
  19. Jarda, the 2 linkages would move 2 shift forks in the transmission. I suspect for durability and maintenance. The other end they would go to the secondary shifter. If something wears out its easier to fix the shifter than the transmission
  20. Jurgen. Fine job.your work was worth the effort.Even the plastic kits need reworking to get a fit and finish you achieved
  21. Round 2 has done a great job of reissuing the old truck kits. Since around 2002 when I got back into truck models I have been able to purchase most of them. Both 359 kits, K100, 4300, pete 352, dozer, payhauler 350, westenstar, road boss, diamond reo, ford short hauler, titan, astro, freightliner,,chrome tanker, both 40 foot van trailers, flat bed, lowboy, paystar dump and cement trucks. Thats an almost complete amt line up.I think even the fire trucks reissue fits this time line. Some of those were pretty rare kits.I haven't purchased a ford flat bed or race car truck yet. We even got a few more thanks to stevens international-4 macks, ford C tractor, double trailers, autocar tractor, US mail, autocar dump, freightliner sd, pete 352. I'm happy to be able have got all these old kits. I figure around 2/3 of them have been reissued There is only a few that haven't been reissued- Kenworth Wmodels, aerodyne and the useless aerodynamic conventional .We still need the transtarII and S series, dump trailer, reefer van, cattle trailer, and furniture vans.I cant think of any more that haven't been reissued All in all a pretty good list don't you think Shoot even got the first truck kit produced reissued-dodge L700 Revell has stepped up and reissued some desirable kits, but they are lagging behind round2's commitment to bringing back the truck kits What we need id these guys to take the moebus lead and give us new subjects
