  1. Other than the grill the latest issues can be built as a 1970 to a 1980 for the chevy and 1985 for a gmc with a few changes here and there I'm not sure if the small grill was available on late models. The engines would have to be replaced for the later models.A revell cat 3406 or engines from amt general/bison b.j. and the bear, or any cummins will work well. When I built my gmc I found pictures of trucks with the light on the door and square turn signals like the kit were 1976 only.Earlier ones had low mount round turn signals that are extras in the kits and the door lights like molded. After 1976 the lights were taken off the door and round ones mounted on the lower front corner, with the kit square turn signals.I cant say for sure when the door handles changed, but I don't think that change effected the chevy titan because it was gone in 1980 The kits come with all parts other than stacks to build early out ward mount twin stacks. That style seems to be more popular on early ones, but probably could of been speced right to the end. The grab handles and ladder steps are late mode optionsl only The wide grills are wider than a general part so if converting to one using general parts you will need 2 .there is a photo etch grill conversion as well. There is tons of reference available for these.
  2. now that I looked harder it could be behind the splash guard in the picture.
  3. I just looked at an old magazine article with a 4300 V800.There is 2 pictures ,one of the top front and the other of the whole right side.No signs of the A/C.I'm guessing it would of been on the drivers side, around frame level
  4. I need help for a diorama. Looking for 1/24 or 1/25 motorcycles , or what kits were they are extras.Would prefer a chopper ,but vintage would be ok. Also, has anyone seen any skulls that would work in 1/25? Please post pictures of any1/25,1/24 motorcycles you have built.be it mini, vintage, off road, harley,or chopper.I have found a few diecast in these scales.but would prefer a kit
  5. white spokes was a popular theme when trucks like this roamed the roads. At least in eastern Canada. I'll take some better pictures
  6. kenworth had these for easier maintenance to air hoses and electrical wires. U.S. kenworths stopped using them when the new cab like the kits came out. Canadian KW used them for a few years longer, 5 years I think Nope, modified all by myself
  7. Back dated to a 60's cab.Muffler scratch built.Cab style exclusive to Canadian made kenworths
  8. Nice work. One of my favorite trucks and definitely a huge influence on truck history.I built one myself using modeltruckin decals. Jim,here is a couple interior pics. Some modellers licence has to be applied to kind of make the kit design work
  9. Thank you Casey, that did the trick. Now I can share my junk again
  10. I couldn't post pictures a few days ago. Going to try again now
  11. well done.nice and clean
  12. good news Jerry, Ive purchased many sets, 20 or so and never a problem.Guess you cant please every one.I know 5 others in person and many from the computer that are always happy with modeltruckin.I have only heard one issue over the internet and that was a paint compatibility issue and that person has used modeltruckin products before and after that so it was an isolated issue
  13. I think it has to do with being released in the slow model building summer time . Second its kind of Mobius own fault ,they should not of released it the same time as the second run of lonestars came along.I haven't bought one yet.Plan on getting 2.Ive put my Christmas hints in ,but if not Ill be shopping when storage is an issue built cars can go back in the box they came from, cant do that with a truck very small.Go to the general section and read the car guys going ape about some truck guys wanting new truck or equipment kits
  14. I'd personally be more concerned with a correct for '78 wheelbase and box. But I will buy a couple
  15. some one does it.I don't know who though.I was on the site and remember that there was all kinds of engines .The turbine was at the bottom of the page in the "other " category .I wish I could remember
  16. I cant give you an exact location but one line would come from a port where there is oil pressure, say near the oil filters/cooler because its an by pass filter.the other would drain back into the block, near the oil pan.both lines are on the bottom of the lubfiner
  17. I made the W model into a flat top and held the raised roof section up on the coe.It fits good ,the corners may need a little work.Back in the day some companys made aftermarket aerodyne roofs so a little mismatch on the older cab would be ok
  18. plaskit has transfer case, and wheels and tires like the ones shown.I bought 1 front drive set,1 none drive front, and 2 sets of super single rear drives from him. they are nice
  19. fords would win all the time ,that's what.lol
  20. what if the government didn't bail out gm?would nascar be racing hendrick Hondas?
  21. if a hhr is embarrassing what about these.Must of been designed by the same group as an astec.to me they are for the guy who wanted a truck but wife wouldn't let him segment of the market
  22. but it was a slight toward Ben. Being a member on this forum that has sections for almost every kind of model with wheels he can answer a question and voice his opinion in this general section just as much as car guys ,nascar guys, or slot car guys.Maybe in "indian land" where you come from this section is only for car guys, Why not follow the rules and state full name and location while riding on your high horse?
