Well this is the most recent one I can find. This was taken a few weeks ago at the Policemen's Ball we went to. It is of course me with my beautiful bride Carolyn. She's 50 and I'll be 60 in a couple of weeks! Been married 30 years now... And yes I know...I'm a lucky guy! Hosted on Fotki

Just taking a shot to see if anyone still has a bottle of Cobracolors Candy Apple Red left over. I could do a trade as I still have a bottle each of Cobracolors Candy Grape, Candy Tangerine and Candy Wild Cherry. Also a bottle of Viper GTS Blue Pearl. All have never been opened. Thanks in advance, Terry

No problem Bud!

The Novacaine is indeed a cool car but it's not a gasser. It's an A/FX car.

Tommy..you are correct. The High and Mighty was an Altered. Mike...the car was not built as an "official" AWB car. You may have thought that simply because they moved the rear axle location forward. That was legal in the altered classes and the AWB cars weren't in existence at the time the High and Mighty was built. The AQWB's came some 6 years later at least....

Did any kitmaker ever make a kit of the one in Batman Begins?

NOW you're riding up my favorite alley! Well done my friend!

There ya go Virgil! My kind of model! Love it! Whassamatta with that hood? Won't sit down all the way? IIRC I believe I had some trouble with that same thing on a Revell Willys I built. Can't remember exactly how I fixed it now but I know I had cut off those tabs.....
-
Yeah man..no problem here. I was seriously just inquiring if the kit came with a firewall. Thanks for the answer! Okay..another question on this kit since I've never had one... No big block with it? It says 396 on the fenders but comes with a small block???

The twin lens is a C-330...I used to have one that I did weddings with back in the early 80's. I loved it because it was so quiet with that leaf shutter. But it was too hard to reload it quickly when you just couldn't miss a shot. That's why I went with the RB. With those roll film backs I could change to a new roll in just a couple of seconds! Well one thing's for sure...you will most likely be the ONLY one there with a Canon FD!!!

Inventive way to destroy a race car.

Accident yes...but you know what? That incident is gonna stick like glue to him forever! Lots of jokes already flying around. Like... How many NASCAR drivers does it take to destroy a jet drier? ...Just Juan! -
At the Holiday Inn in Taunton, Mass. on March 18th..... the annual show from the boys in the MassCar model club. Good show...lot's of vendors. I'm not 100% sure if I can go because that's my 60th birthday and I don't know what the family has cooked up for me that day. But I'm going to try to go for a while at least. Here's a link to the show flyer.... http://www.masscar.com/flyer2012.pdf

Ed..you going to Masscar on the 18th? -
Is that the "Badman" kit? I never had that particular kit and was just wondering...does it not come with a firewall part? Or is the front of the interior tub supposed to serve as the firewall?

Welcome Ed. You'll find a wealth of knowledge and experience here. That Vicky is sweet...one of my all time favorite kits. I have a couple of the first issues in my stash...just for old time's sake! Btw, where in New England? I'm in Eastern Conn. -
I don't care for it.

That's only in the workbench section. Not in the "Under Glass" finished models section. Or at least that's how I see it.... I could be wrong! -

That part had me laughing to myself when I read it. And why you might ask? Because I do the same thing! My wife will tell me in no uncertain terms when something looks bad or looks out of place to her eyes. Now sometimes she's wrong and I can explain to her why it is the way it is. But she will definitely speak her mind. And I gotta love her for that. She's been looking at my models and has come with me to a bunch of shows for many many years now and she actually knows what she's looking at! In fact, she has been looking over my shoulder on occasion here on the forum and has seen a few of these poorly done models that we're talking about here...the ones with all the sheep comments. And even SHE has said to me, "Why are they all saying it looks so great? Look at the orange peel in the paint!" Or something like that.. Cracks me up that even a non-modeler can see the error of our ways in this regard. -

I agree Harry...but it isn't worth the flak you get....at least not to me anymore.
