  1. Here's an update. The engine is done except for the decals. The chassis still needs the rear end. The interiors coming out pretty good. The body is primered white & I've used Short Cuts white for the back end. The hood & fender skirts are Tamiya's bright red.
  2. This is one I've wanted to build for quite a while now. I'm keeping It stock & like the picture on the box.
  3. I got this as a trade with amxmustang.
  4. I also completed a trade with afxmustang. Everything went great. I'll be happy to trade with him anytime.
  5. Here's a gorgeous '51 Victoria I saw at a car lot. No price on It.
  6. The Hotel I work at had a King Midget meet.
  7. I'm not sure if they were plexiglass but they were tinted.
  8. I've finally gotten this one done. I Like this coral paint. It goes on smooth & buffs to a nice shine.
  9. It's been awhile since my last update. I dropped my camera & destroyed it & my phone cameras pics don't come out very good. I should have it finished this week & I'll take more detailed pics then.
  10. I asked the yard if they wanted to sell it several years ago & they said no.
  11. This '56 Ford has been setting up there for around 10 years & until recently it didn't have a back window. It was supposed to have been driven in & scrapped about 15 years ago & hasn't been started since. Somebody bought the back window about 12 or so years ago when it was in the yard so you can imagine what the interior & floorboards must look like after setting that long without a window. Up close the body looks to be in excellent shape. Why would someone even think of junking this? And why leave it up there to sit & slowly rot away?
  12. I appreciate the offer Dennis, but I found another one. I haven't got a lot done, but I did get the roof cut & the body primed & painted. I decided on coral & white.
  13. This is my next victim. I'm going to paint it 50's aqua & white. Take notice of the interior tub rear shelf. That Isn't broke It was molded that way. I'm sending Round 2 a parts replacement form & hoping for the best as old as the kit is. The instrument panel decals I got from best model parts on ebay. They're priced right, well made & look a whole lot better than paint.
  14. No pictures but I saw a gorgeous '67 GTO convertible drive by my job this morning.
  15. Eddie's done. I took some cat litter & dirt mixed together for the base to give It a gravel road look. I used an old necklace my wife gave me for the anchor chain. A real blast from the past to build.
  16. Other than a little touchup Eddie's done. I'm using this piece of wood paneling for a base. I'm not sure what I'll line it with yet.
  17. The '59 Desoto was recently pulled out of a woods where it's been setting longer than the 31 years I've lived here. Not sure what they're doing with it. The Henry J has been setting at an auto repair for 20 some years. The '76 Jag is at a car lot. No engine or trans. & they want $1000.00.
  18. How about Harry Baals. He was the Mayor of Ft. Wayne, In. during the early 1900's. And yes, his name is pronounced balls.
  19. I'm not getting a lot of build time with warm weather here. I painted the body ice blue over a silver base.
  20. My first paid for car was a 1963 Olds. Dynamic 88 convertible I bought for $115.00 in June, 1971. This was my first conv. & I loved it. My girlfriend & I took that car to the drive-in theatre every Friday & Saturday night that summer, rain or shine. It had the neck snapping "slim jim" transmission that gave it's last snap in Feb. 1972. I had no idea how to change a trans back then & my Mom wouldn't let me keep a "junk" car in the driveway, so off to the scrap yard it went. I still have the keys & title to it & a few pictures.
  21. This is the second of four Weird oh's I'm building between cars.
