  3. Jonathan, exactly how long did it take for them to get here? Also will my HLJ order come in the regular mail? The way I figured my order should be here late next week or the first week of December. I can't wait to start two skylines at once.bigtim P.S. Did you get any extras???
  4. I say real.Too many small details to get right on a model.
  5. Did you try changing the brushes in your old dremel? You can get new brush kits almost anywhere the dremels are sold.Around $5 a set I belive.Could be worth a try.bigtim.
  6. Any word on your wheels yet?
  7. Thanks Jonathan.I'm gonna open my windows too.As for the 2000 Six in the 510,I don;t think it's gonna fit after lookin' at the 510's engine bay.I'll try it anyway though.
  8. Luis,I could use a set of those WATS for my build. They were all out of stock when I ordered.Let me know.
  9. I don't think they are the same kit.I built the one on the bottom years ago and don't remeber it having the chin spoiler in it.It built up well years ago but now with the worn out molds it is getting sloppy. I'm sure some one else will be able to chime in with info on the top kit.bigtim.
  10. Jonathan,That's a sweet lookin' skyline build you got there.I geuss I'll start mine in a couple of weeks ,due to not understanding HLJ's ordering process, and clicking on the wrong thing.Boy that was a $125.00 learning experience. But I got some cool stuff comin' on the slow boat from Japan.
  11. Was sittin' here today and felt the house shake for about 15 seconds. Come to find out the 4.6 quake that started in Kentucky at 12:15 was felt in our area.It was so hard that it shook pictures crooked on the walls. Did any one else feel it? It was a weird feeling.I've been through two tornado's and never felt anything like this. Replies welcome.bigtim.
  12. Don't forget the person who will start a new thread asking why the first one was locked by admin. I'm still using the old stlye bulbs anyway, haven't tried the new corkscrew lookin bulbs. Are they any better?
  13. Good lookin' truck. But I think that's a flathead engine though.Your other truck had the nailhead engine in it. Both are good lookin' builds.
  14. I say real.The reflections look right.
  15. I'm gonna say model.good photography trick too.
  16. I don't care which Dave gets the money as long as I can get a case of each one. I owned a 73 with a 390 big block out of a 69 t-bird.It was a mean old truck but never failed to start.I miss those days of scrounging the local junkyards for spare parts.I broke more than one inside door handle.Too bad todays 1-1's don't interchange through the years like these old work horses did.The title said '73 but I believe it had parts from'69 to '77 on it.Still ran like a scalded dog.
  17. Hot water in the bathtub and let it sit on the bottom for a while. It worked for mine.
  18. Monty,I haven't used mine yet but I believe they are airbrush ready and no thinning is necessary.
  19. Thanks for the great info guys.It helped alot. Now if I could just get the time to try them out.
  20. Ok thanks for the replies but what do I use as a basecoat? Flat black primer? That's what has me bumfuzzled here guys. Also what can I use for clear coats? I have plenty of the testors one coat wet look clear. And can anyone post pics if they have used these colors please.bigtim.
  21. Here is a pic of what I have.
  22. I say model too. Areally clean built one at that.
  23. I have a question concerning HOK paints. I've never used HOK before so please bear with me. I have these four colors...all in 1 oz.glass bottles. 1-Aquarius Shift 2-Dorado Dreams 3-Caribbean Surf 4-Transparent Pagan Gold My question is what to use as a base coat?I was told by the shop owner that the first three are color shift paints and they should have a flat black base coat. The Pagan gold I was told to use any metallic color for a base and that final results would depend on the base color, which I can understand. If anyone has used these colors please help me out here. Also could you post some pics of what they look like on models please. It's hard to visualize them through the little windows on the bottles. As always any help is greatly appreciated,Thanks bigtim.
  24. Coffee only in the dead of winter.Ice cold Mountain Dew the rest of the time. But I limit myself to two twenty oz. bottles a day.I drink water the rest of the time. Some of the best coffee I've ever had was in the military.Made strong at 4:00am and kept gettin' stronger 'till supper time.I believe it could walk on it's own sometimes.
