  1. From what I've seen and heard, none of these shows is worth spending the time to watch.
  2. I've always wished that someone would produce a kit of an Alfa like that in styrene.
  3. I liked the first version of the Mach I better. The front looked more like a normal 67 or 68 Mustang, but it had oval headlights. There was an AMT kit of the first mach, very hard to find these days. I have a built one somewhere.
  4. I hope this isn't a violation of forum rules. Burbank's House of Hobbies appears to have the Micro Chisels in stock: http://www.houseofhobbies.com/etchmate.html Tell Glen I sent you.......
  5. The dash is different. Grille, parking lights and nameplates/trim on trunk and hood are different. 50 Merc had a one-piece rear window in place of the 49's three-piece window. BTW is the dash in the 50 Merc kit any good? Anyone have a photo?
  6. Burnouts, eh? That would cause the same kind of damage even in a brand-new car. ....the consequences of abuse......
  7. Remember also that the Vista Cruiser (and the Buick Sport Wagon) had a longer wheelbase than the regular Cutlass (Skylark) wagon.
  8. That combination of parts gives me some ideas....... BTW the "lack of parts" is just the way these kits were "back in the day". Nice body and interior, one-piece chassis with metal wire axles and a fairly simple engine. We loved 'em.
  9. Penski? A Polish outfit? OH!!! You mean Penske.......
  10. This happens every time they announce a new kit or a reissue of a kit that hasn't been available for a long time.....
  11. Krylon Satin Black. ...and forget the sequential turn signals. They belong on COUGARS, not Mustangs!!!!!!
  12. I got to hear the Ligier V-12's run at Long Beach one year when they revived the engine (between running Cosworths and before the Turbo era for Ligier). The sound was incredible. Musical and borderline painful. It was wonderful! High-pitched whistle from the Renault Turbo was, I think, some sort of bypass thing that helped reduce turbo lag to some degree.
  13. No, the distibutor is supposed to be in the front, so you can see it and work on it easily.......
  14. Congrats!!! I have a two-year-old grandson, and a granddaughter due to be born any day now..... Geez, we're getting OLD!!!!! (55 today)
  15. Just stay away from the rip-off artist vendors in Hong Kong and Macau........
  16. Bumping it up. Show is this Saturday!!!!!
  17. Looks like it would have terminal understeer.
  18. I'll be there Thursday morning......
  19. OOOOO nice. Now make a few adjustments to the master/mold and bring us a 68 Montego.........
  20. I was really upset when this happened. I thought when I saw them that it was a great way to "fly the flag" as it were. Hving the AMT sticker on my window lhelped me to find out a new friend was a modeler as well. Round 2: Please make the stickers from VINYL!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I have an unbuilt one I'd like to assemble some day. I always liked the styling, plus I drove one for work for a couple of years back in the 70's. They were a lot of fun to run around in.
  22. Here's the flyer:
