  2. What part of LA? You can check out Burbank's House of Hobbies (with a side trip to Autobooks), Kit Craft in Studio City, or Smith Brothers out in Northridge.
  3. HEY!!! That's one of MY vans.........
  4. Bob Paeth generously donated some oroginal art work to the GSL XXI auction last year. Some were proposals for kits that were never produced, some were alternative box art for kits that were produced. All very nice and great collectibles. I managed to make the winning bid on the Firebird III artwork. Now I need to find a good frame for it and a proper place to hang it.
  5. That Mitsu looks more like a Celica Liftback. A few more Audi 100S Coupe pics: I remember reading somewhere back in the day that the trunk in these was huge.
  6. Um, I meant that the other way, tongue-in-cheek too......... My Fuse has a little wing on the trunk, and the Sport Appearance Package: "black chrome" grille, 17" wheels, Black interior with red accents and stitching. Very cool. Fun in the mountains. Any engine or suspension mods on your 6?
  7. ....but much better looking......
  8. Well, my 2007 Ford Fusion has a 4-cylinder engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. It has decent performance, handles well and gets about 28 MPG in mixed driving.
  9. Dual-Ghia. It's Chrysler powered. Sinatra and Dean Martin owned them.
  10. Audi 100 Coupe. About 1972-73.
  11. That's right. It actually was originally called the b+b CW111. Sorry for the delay in confirmation.
  12. Here's one that's a little newer.....
  13. I'd say 73 or 74 Datsun pickup. I used to drive one for work back when they were new.
  14. It's a Fiberfab Jamaican. A kit car that was made for a variety of Chassis. Sports Car Graphic built a VW-based one that was detailed in several articles back in 1969. Fiberfab's ads were famous for featuring elegant, voluptuous women.
  15. Probably the best way to get the Congress and state legislatures to act on the high fuel prices is to require them to pay for their own vehicles and all associated expenses. Too many of them have government-supplied vehicles (mostly big suvs) and government-issued credit cards. Looking at Tahoe hybrids, one of the reasons GM doesn't make smaller hybrids may be due to the fact that there is a smaller surface area to slather HYBRID decals and nameplates all over the car. Count the number of times the word Hybrid appears on a Tahoe or GMC equivalent. It's kind of humorous actually. They wil crank up the prices until enough people scream about it then lower them a little so people say, "thank goodness." I saw an article a while back where they noted that this latest round of increases did not seem to generate as much outrage as id had in the past. I think most people have resigned thamselves to the fact that all this is inevitable and have decided to just suck it up and pay. What else can you do? As far as boycotting this company or that company, I think that is futile. Around here, you don't see "branded" fuel tank trucks. Just a generic truck that could go to just about any station.
  16. It's the photos. Note that the side blades are available in black, silver or body color. The diesel concept version has carbon fiber-finished side blades and something like 750 lb-ft torque.......
  17. Bumpity bump........
  18. Nice work! Only problem is that LAPD did not use Furys for patrol cars, they used Belvederes......
  19. Nice work Jeff!! Is there a Montego wagon conversion in the future? It would be nice to have a replica of my old 72 merc wagon before the Brady Bunch movie people got ahold of it......
  20. Just to add to the Union kit lore: A few years back I bought a 66 Mustang hardtop kit in a Union box. It is the AMT 66 Mustang hardtop, down to the custom and racing parts.
