  1. When the 50 Olds kit first came out, there were some pictures of a resin custom interior conversion set that was available from Ed Fluck Jr. How do I contact Ed so I can order one of his conversions? Thanks.
  2. I vote for a 55 Desoto Adventurer.
  3. How are you coming along on the stock Fairmont body?
  4. Sorry I haven't been here for a few days. Waiting for knee surgery. It looks like others on the board have answered most of the questions and provided links.
  5. The caster is a friend of mine and he does fantastic work. I have seen his prototypes for the master and they look really nice.

  7. First thing they should do is bring back actual names. The alphanumeric designations that are in vogue now are meaningless. MK-whatever is stupid and useless.
  8. What about the AMT 62 Catalina?
  9. I have seen and handled some test shots of this kit. There is a lot of cool stuff in the kit and many nice details. A winner in my book.
  10. Some of the best scale u-joints I have seen are in the Accurate Miniatures/Revell Corvette Grand Sport kit

  12. 3D printing can be done with material that has wood mixed in with it. The folks who demonstrated 3D printing at GSL had some examples on display. Very cool.
  13. There was a 1/16 or 1/20-scale mangusta kit from one of the Japanese manufacturers years ago. Typical motorized kit. I had one years ago.
  14. As a kid, I always looked for the Monkeemobile sitting outside Jeffries' shop on Cahuenga Bl when we used the Hollywood Freeway to go somewhere.
  15. I remember him getting sideways coming off Pine Avenue then coming down the hill at LBGP. I have a great picture I took of this. A great driver, gone too soon.
  16. Did anyone here attend the Chatsworth show on Sunday? Any photos to share? I know it was kind of in the shadow of GSL but I figure someone must have gone there.......
  17. Here's a link to my Fotki site for GSL 24, held last weekend. Pictures of probably all the models on display, plus some of the modelers who attended. http://public.fotki.com/Scott-F-Hess/gsl24photos/
  18. Neil, Start saving anyway. First Weekend in May. Here's a link to my Fotki page for GSL 24: http://public.fotki.com/Scott-F-Hess/gsl24photos/

  20. I agree. The Revell chassis should be a lot better than the previous versions.
  21. Closest similar detailed chassis would be the AMT 62 Thunderbird. It would probably need to be stretched a bit. These cars were both unit bodies, developed together, using shared components. These days you would say they share the same "platform".
  22. From my observation (I owned a 78 Zephyr 2-door sedan for several years, as well as two hatchback Fox Mustangs) the trunk stamping is basically the same for all these Fox variations. They all have the round spare tire well offset to one side with the fuel tank hanging below. Rear shock mounts intrude into the luggage compartment a bit but they are covered by plastic trim in wagon and hatch versions. I can't remember what level of detail exists in either the MPC or Revell/Monogram hatchback Mustang kits, so can't comment there. The 87 Turbo Coupe kit might be another chassis source for the Fairmont.
