312P was a 3-liter v12 that was also used in Formula 1 cars. 330P4 was 4-liter and may have external differences from the 3-liter. It would take a lot of work to install a detailed engine in the Fisher 312P kit as the casting is quite thick and there is no chassis detail to speak of. I have one of these, it's a beautiful replica of a beautiful car, but to me it's destined to be a curbside model.

I dunno. The kit doesn't have the same wheels as the car in plowboy's link. Bet it doesn't have the dash/ steering wheel (thank goodness) and shifter or engine hoses as the example either.......

1/25 Revell Ford Del Rio Ranch Wagon 2'n'1

Dismissal? Just looks to me like the posting of the pics from NNL East started up a duplication of the crapstorm of criticism that has already taken up several pages of this thread. Don't buy it, buy it and build it or buy it and fix it...... The green-and-white boxart car was built by a friend of mine. I saw it before he shipped it off to Revell. It looked good enough to me. Any station wagon kit is an exciting prospect and to have one of my favorite ones available in a kit is just plain incredible. The boxart car is also my favorite 57 Ford color combination. One of my uncles had a 57 Country Sedan in the green/white color combination. -

Click on HOME for the explanation. Even though it's a couple of days past. He has revised the return date a couple of times already. -
Morgan Automotive Detail (http://www.madmodeling.com/store/ccp0-prodshow/71-73-pinto-wagon.html) casts the 71-73 Pinto wagon body. I have one and it is a pretty good casting.

This morning I saw some sort of BMW SUV and possibly a 5-series sedan in camouflage on Angeles Forest Highway. Last week I saw an I8 on Angeles Crest...... -

Just a couple of clarifications. The Crown Victoria wagon on page 72 was built by David Irwin, from Missouri. I purchased it from a vendor at Carlsbad last year and put it on the table at this show so others could appreciate the concept and craftsmanship of the car. I take no credit for the build but I am happy to have it in my Collection. And I'm pretty sure that the red 57 Bel Air on page 73 is mine, not Ron Ramsay's.

Revell 69 Mustang front end CORRECTION RESIN!

I went on the DMolds web site. It says that his E-store is closed until April 5th for vacation. -
In this particular case the owner had it painted Ford Grabber blue during it's restoration.
-
A friend used to have a 914-6 with a 3.2 Carrera engine in it. It was painted Grabber blue. It looked stock aside from the color. What a sleeper.

The front fenders on the 69 and 70 Cougars were pretty much alike, aside from the side marker hole being larger on the 70. The main difference in front appearance aside from the hood, bumper (+gravel panel) and grillework, was in the fender extensions. On the 69 the extension comes to a point with the bumper, while the 70 extension is more blunt. Also the taillight grilles were different, 69 were evenly spaced while the 70s were not. This was not changed for the MPC 70 kits. I would post pictures but for some reason I am unable to. BTW I have one of Kevin's AMT 69 Mustang repop bodies I recently acquired. It's a really nice piece.
-
The MPC Cougar rear bumper fits the AMT body well enough.
-
The "basic AMT kit" doesn't have correctly-shaped front fender tips (pot metal bolt-on extensions on the real car) That were different on the 69 and 70 cars. This is probably easily remedied with some putty/evergreen and sanding. Also the 70 seat and door upholstery patterns are different. Hey Kevin/Missing Link, a suggestion: How about doing resin repops of the MPC 69-70 Cougar rear bumper and taillight? This is a much better-looking representation, mainly for the fuel door lens in the center, than the AMT version.

Thanks for posting this. I really like the 69 Mustangs but the nose on the Revell kit is a big letdown. -

This box art is done in the AMT 1969 style but is for the current Eliminator version and is different from the original box art, which was for an XR 7.

Cool. Yup, using IE. Thanks, Joe. I couldn't "Quote" before either.....
