  1. The rear wheel arch is a Gandini thing.
  2. Front grille and bumper are different. Grillework is more flush on the 72 and there is a bar across the top of the dip in the center of the bumper. 72 has the taillights incorporated into the rear bumper. Somebody needs to cast a 71 LTD 2-door........ Hey Kevin, longshot: Do you still cast the 71 Galaxie?
  3. Modelhaus makes a 72. Go to www.modelhaus.com, click "kits", then "Ford".
  4. The steering wheel in full-size 65 Mercurys was half clear, half colored.
  5. Speed City has injector stacks in three sizes. Not aluminum, though. They are silver plated copper tube. www.speedcityresin.com. Click on "PARTS" and scroll to the bottom.
  6. Non-RS grilles and front turn signals were different between 67 and 68 Camaros.
  7. The original Countach prototype (LP500) was shown at the Geneva Auto show in 1971. Also note that Spark and Technomodel made higher-quality replicas of the Carabo in 1/43 scale. I have the Spark model at home. I saw the original at the L.A. Auto expo in 1969.
  8. Also they had a 68 GT/CS kit. I have one in my collection.
  9. The dash would be the same for all full size Oldsmobiles for that year.
  10. Steve Perry at Calnaga Castings may have what you need. www.calnaga.com
  11. 67 and 68 Shelby Mustangs had different taillights. The 67s had Cougar taillights with a plain bezel that eliminated the vertical bars. 68 and 69 Shelby Mustangs had 65 Thunderbird taillights with the vertical bars.
  12. Even though the Escort was supposed to be a "World Car" (The US version had a chrome representation of a globe on the front fenders) the US version and the British/German version were very different. I think the only main thing that was shared was the engines. I am unable to post images here for some reason but if you search for Ford Escort Images you will be able to see the differences. Probably Wikipedia will describe them. Actually there are two wiki entries, one for the Euro version and one for US. Remember that there were two generations of RWD Escorts available in Europe before the US Escort and its Euro counterpart were introduced.
  13. The Australian-built Capri 2-seat convertible shared little if anything with the Miata platform-wise. Capri was front-wheel-drive, possibly 323-based. Miata is rear wheel drive. Maybe engines?
  14. Prior to his death in a testing accident, Bruce McLaren was developing a street car called the M6GT. Two or three M6GTs were assembled but further work stopped due to Bruce's passing.
  15. I have an unmolested Hussein kit from that AMT series.
  16. There's another Revell version. Non turbo.
  17. My tempest wagon body arrived today. Very nice!!!
  18. Maybe if you typed in "ELEANOR" you would get the proper response. Do a little research before you get all pissy.
  19. Kenny, go watch the original H.B. Halicki "Gone in 60 Seconds".........

    Toyota Aristo

The first Aristo/GS300 was not bland because it was designed by Giugiaro.
  21. Scale Equipment Ltd makes a 73 Hurst Olds in resin. For some reason I can't copy/paste the link. Easy enough to find. I have one. It is pretty well cast, but needs a bit of cleanup. Using the 72 Cutlass chassis etc would save a lot of work on this.
