  1. Wow Carl, it turned out great!! I hope mine turns out that nice!
  2. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Just won a Hess Training Van in mint condition in the box for 52.59 total with shipping!!!! Man, I'm happy now!
  3. I like to use Plastic Performance Products wheels and tires on my stock cars but I'm not sure which tire would be correct for use on the AMT Richard Petty Dodge Dart kit? I'm thinking the Sportsman tires? Can someone that knows these cars well, give me some suggestions?
  4. Any more progress on this Carl? I'm getting the itch to build one too!! I was a master RV tech for over 30 years and worked on quite a few of these! There are a ton of reference pictures of the chassis and such on Google images!
  5. hello Hakan, yes, I just found them. They do have some nice stuff!
  6. Yea, these are solid, if they are stock car tires, they are 1/24.
  7. Will we be seeing any test builds of the actual kit parts any time soon?
  8. I could see some peoples points here but I am talking about wheels and tires that are already being produced, the licensing has already been taken care of in order to put them in the gasser kit. All they are doing is putting them into their own little box. Again, ?i can see a few dollars on each set for packaging and labor but I still think the price is high for regular kit wheels and tires! You can get high end aftermarket wheels and tires for the same price!
  9. The Movin on Kenvorth had a V903 Cummins? They show it in the Episode where they race Tyrone malone in the dirt track, truck race.
  10. I don't get it? Why is it when they reissue a kit, they don't reissue the most popular version of it?? A little research on EBay for a while would show which version sells the best. I get if some of the molds are missing or damaged or if certain licensing is required but sometimes it's just the box art that's different.
  11. Thanks guys! I appreciate the info!
  12. I just bought three kits tonight, that totalled 55.00 from Tower Hobbies. Right now shipping is free on most of their kits. I also have a coupon code that gives you 15.00 off any order of at least 50.00. My total cost including shipping ended up being 39.01. 13.00 a kit! They are my number one place to buy from!
  13. I was looking at the AMT Parts Pack that has the gasser wheels and tires. From everything I have seen, it usually retails for about 15.00! Really?? I figure the wheels and tires are about 1/5 of the whole kit. The whole kit nowadays usually retails for about 22.00. Shouldn't those Parts Packs be about 8.00 ???(throwing in a couple bucks for the little box they come in) I guess they are taking hints from all these sellers on Ebay that break up kits and sell 1/20 of the kit for the price of the entire kit.
  14. DOH!! I totally forgot some of my favorites!! The Aurora Racing scenes kits, ALL OF THEM!!!!!
  15. Wow... You guys "high" prices compared to how much I spend is making me realize I just might have a problem! LOL
  16. Find someone to draw those landing gear up in 3D and then send the drawing to Shapeways to be printed in their FUD material (Frosted Ultra Detail). I just had some dozer tracks done and they turned out incredible!
  17. I sold that kit on Ebay a couple years ago, two guys were fighting for it. It sold for 450.00! Then, the guy that was outbid emailed me asking if I had another. I did but it was not sealed. He paid 250.00 for that one!
  18. Did Revell have pre lettered tires?? I don't remember ever seeing any?
  19. Right now it would be most of the Revell 80's kits like the vans and such, the MPC Richard Petty Roadrunner stock car and all the AMT Tyrone Malone drag truck and transporter kits!
  20. LOL.......You don't even want to know! It's not so much how much I spent on a kit but the total invested in a particular kit after adding all the aftermarket goodies to it! I have one truck kit with over a thousand just in parts. I bought a scratch built bulldozer for 300.00 and just had the correct tracks 3D printed for it and they are going to cost me 225.00, just for the tracks!
  21. Does anyone know who made these pre lettered Goodyear Eage tires?? I don't know if they are intended to be drag slicks or stock car tires? They measure 1.23" O.D. And .66" I.D. And they are .61" wide.
  22. Actually what I was hoping to find is an aftermarket company making rubber slicks with a more accurate profile and stance. I'm pretty sure I have with Scott at Futurattractions! He has some incredible drag parts and is really great to deal with! I had forgotten about his parts when I made this post.
  23. Just scored the one I wanted the most, the Petty Roadrunner off Ebay for 52.00!! Happy happy!!! Just bought aftermarket decals the correct ones for the car, as well as PPP wheels and tires for it too from Mikes Decals.
  24. What rear slicks are those? Are they from a kit or aftermarket? Did they come already lettered like that? Very nice build!!!
  25. That looks exactly like Ford Ivy Bronze. ScaleFinishes carries it.
