MENG 1/24 Ford F350 Super Duty Crew Cab: Sneak Peek Pics!
Ben replied to Gregg's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
My two kits arrived today, man the thing is a lot bigger than I thought! It looks pretty cool though, would be easy to super Detail the engine lots of nice little extras like grab handles the interior on the headliner inside. Someone asked about the tires they appeared to be made of vinyl but they are very soft like rubber and they are hollow they do say Continental on the sides. Does anyone know the exact year model of this truck yet? -
May have been the current exchange rate that day? Or maybe a different shipping amount to where your located?
-
I didn't " choose" any form of shipping? It automatically chose air parcel? I just chose the two kits and hit "checkout".
-
I just ordered two of them and it totaled 112.91 including shipping by air.
-
I told you guys it wouldn't be that expensive. Hobby Easy is where I bought my two Meng D9R dozer kits. Headed there now to get a couple of these Fords too!

There were three versions of this kit. The first version features the light blue/grayish colored plastic, green glass and a mail in form for the sleeper kit. The second version has white plastic with clear glass and the mail in form for the sleeper kit and the third version has white plastic, clear glass and a sticker on the box that said "sleeper included!" and had the seperate sleeper kit in the box. All the sleeper kits were molded in white plastic only.

Love it!!!!! What parts are photo etch? I have both kits you mentioned but I bought my resin kit years ago off Ebay and it doesn't have any photo etch?

Snake VS Mongoose on the BIG SCREEN
Ben replied to Dragline's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Also, all that money invested and they couldn't afford to at least put a piece of white vinyl of the "II" after the word "Mongoose" on Tom's car. Sad! -

Just like I expected! Way too much storyline about thier personal lives to turn it into a soap opera!!!!! They could have used WAY more racing footage!! So sick of these movies trying to jam as much needless drama down your throught as possible!!!!! -
Man, I do love diecast but I wish that Silverado was a styrene kit instead!!!!!

Some really Sweet turbos from Shucky
Ben replied to envious8420's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Hi Mike, thank you for your reply! I've been in the resin casting business since 1994 so I feel your pain! I too got burned out! now just make masters and have a friend do all the casting. (we only make parts for semi trucks) There's always a wait for the good stuff, that's to be expected. I'll be placing an order with you soon. -
Guys, the Meng Caterpillar D9R armored dozer kit has a "list" of 70-80.00 yet you can buy them all day long for less than 45.00. I'm sure this new Ford will be the same way if not less! The dozer kit has five times the amount of parts and photo etch that the Ford does.

Hey Revell......see this!? Here's how it was suposed to look! Who is Greg and how do I get a body from him?

There's a guy in the same work center where Jamie (the guy that casts the parts) works that does laser and CNC cutting. I can find out who he is and maybe you could send him the prints and see what kind of estimate he'll give you? -

Ben replied to envious8420's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Is Shucky the only guy making aftermarket turbos? Does anyone know if his turbos are two piece and can be clocked? They appear to be one piece in the pictures I've seen. Looking for turbos the size used on 1/25 truck engines that are two piece and can be clocked the way I want them to face. THanks! -

If anyone experiences trouble viewing the website, it may be your browser. I have to look at it using Firefox. For some reason, it doesn't work well on IE? I did not find that out until after I was finished making it. -
