The Monogram Snap Tite vans are on Ebay all the time. The Streeto Vandito Chevy and the Vanana Split Dodge are seldom seen though. I got on a kick to collect all the vans in this series back when this thread started. I now have about four of the Emergency van, three Streeto Vandito's, two Dodge Police and one Vanana Split. Didn't pay more than 20.00 for each if I remember correctly. You just have to save the search to where Ebay sends them to your email and then pounce on em when they're at a good price. What's funny is when I first started to try and buy them, someone listed all four kits at once. I thought "hey, what luck!" They went for over 400.00!!!!!!! They were sealed but I have a sealed one of each in the one's I bought! In my opinion, the best kit for a 1/25 rig would be one of the Revell vans that comes with the raised roof. Like the Mean Mudder, Quick Sand, Etc.

Hi Jay, I'm not sure if Dibbles is still open or not? I only went there a few times. They catered more to the railroad guys. The kits they had were all older kits nobody seemed to want. If they are open, they are one of only a couple hobby shops still alive here. There's HobbyTown but I don't consider that a hobby "shop", more of a big chain store.

How hard is it to cast resin?
Ben replied to Austin T's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Vegabond makes very good resins and they used to offer a free sample pack that had asmuch resin as the Alumilite kits. I always used their resin with great results. If you tell them the types of parts you want to make, they will tell you what formula will work best for you. -
Prototype Lonestar/Prostar chassis decals
Ben replied to Turbo590's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I have all the decals Kurt makes, VERY nice stuff!!!!!!! They really add a ton of detail! -
I don't think I ever saw the pictures he mentioned. Without good pics, I'm not able to get decals made so I put that project on hold for now.

LOL,LOL, I'm on fire, somebody grab me a stomach! -
As the owner of a real 69 Camaro with a black interior, I can tell you that there are several different types of black used. The carpet should be sprayed flat black and then covered with black flocking (if you have some), the lower part of the dash is steel all the way across and should be gloss black. The top pad is vinyl and should be a semi gloss black. The door panels, seats and center console would be semi gloss as well. The headliner would be more of a flat black with a very slight hint of shine in some areas. You could paint these parts flat black and let them cure for several days and then rub them with your fingers. This will bring a shine to all the high points and give a bit of a weathered look.

There's a guy on Ebay selling those conversion kits for the Aoshima Interceptor. He sold several of them so he may have more or he might be casting them? Here's the link to one of his completed auctions. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mad-Max-Conversion-Set-/260943435267?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cc170d603

Congrats on the new kids!!!!!!!!! I'm a huge animal lover but I only have cats right now. I had seven, but two passed away from Cancer and one got out last Tuesday and I think she's gone for good. She was a Ferrel cat and I had brought her home from work. She never got along with the other cats that are all related so I hope she's happy, wherever she is. The four I have left were all from a litter that after the mama cat had them, she passed away a couple days later. I had to bottle feed all of them. No stronger bond with an animal when you raise them like that!

Thanks for the nice words guys!

The sleeper your looking for is a 36" and can be found in the AMT Alaskan Hauler, Movin On, Challenge mixer and Watkins, Kenworth W900 kits. These kits are all basically the exact same, each having it's own additions to make them unique.

SO YOU FINISHED YOUR MODEL, NOW WHAT?
Ben replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wow, what's bad is, the first thing I thought when you said you showered with them was "Oh no, I hope the holes in the shower drain are small enough to catch a mirror if it breaks off!" LOL -
who's seen "Flight of the Phoenix" ?
Ben replied to 62rebel's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes, I had heard it was about an airplane that was nicknamed the "flying box car"? Update, ok, I'm lost on this topic? The original movie was about the same thing as the remake. Made in 1965 starring James Stewart. There was no bus or junkyard from what I read?
