  1. So sorry to hear what you and your family are going through. I hope you can be strong for her. Your family will be in my prayers for sure......
  2. The original (if this is made from the one I'm thinking of) came with Centerline wheels, front and rear. This rerelease appears to have the same.
  3. Wow, another awesome project! The wheels on your U Haul truck would work well for this project as well.
  4. One of my favorites! Now....if I could just remember that the underwear goes on before the pants!
  5. When I saw the chassis rails and spring perch, I knew I had seen it hundreds of times and knew it was a chevy van but the first kit that came to mind was the Revell Mean Mudder. A couple months ago, I was on a "quest" to obtain every Monogram SnapTite van kit. I succeeded and now have about eight of the Streeto Vandito and the ambulance! That's why it was stuck in my head.
  6. No thanks, that's the kind of vehicles I build and repair for a living! I like leaving them at work! LOL
  7. That's an old 60's Kenworth cabover. I would love to see a picture taken, looking into it's rear view mirror!
  8. Ok, this is weird! I thought this kit was a reissue of the Monogram Snake and Mongoose rear engine dragster kits that had only been issued one time? The driver, Christmas tree and track official appear to be from those kits but the dragster almost looks like a Garlits reissue? I know for a fact the rear tires in this new kit are wider (looking at the pics) because I have the original Goodyear slick in my hand. The original is taller and skinnier. I was really hoping this was a direct, second release of those Snake and Mongoose kits! (with different decals of course)
  9. #2 Whoa, too many at one time! This one looks like a Revell Chevy van chassis. Oh wait, MMI is Monogram Models Inc.
  10. There are no kits of the truck your wanting to build. It takes a couple different kits along with a lot of aftermarket parts and decals to be able to build the truck in your picture. The "Rubber Duck' kit you have been seeing on Ebay has two pieces in the entire kit that can actually be used to build an accurate Rubber Duck. The front bumper/grille guard and the Duck hood ornament. Everything else in that kit is pretty much useless as far as trying to build a Duck truck from it! The bad thing is, it's going to take quite a bit more than 70.00 if you want to build the truck accurately.
  11. I'm pretty sure this is a reissue of the AMT Candy Van. I don't think the A Team GMC van kit has been released as anything but the A Team version?
  12. I remember it very well!!!!!!! I was about 15 and came home from school to see that my mom had let my nieces go into my room and grab a few of my built models and they were playing with them on the kitchen floor. Now I get VERY nervous if a kid comes anywhere near my models. I am blessed with a son that has never even tried to touch one!
  13. CH CH CH CHILDREN............N N N NN N NEAR M M M M MY M M M ODELS????????? :o :o
  14. Tom, if you could only see how incredibly cool that case is through our eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should post the link to your photo site so these guys can actually see the incredible detail you put into every one of your models. You just don't see that kind of incredible building very often!
  15. There are several Bill Signs Peterbilts that look very similiar to each other. If you are refering to the "Clydes II" that the Revell kit replicates. That truck had a Cat3408 turbocharged V8 motor in it. I'm pretty sure it was repowered at a later time though. You can get the Cat 3408 from any of the Revell Kenworth W900 kits.
  16. I had an ex psycho........uh, I mean....girlfriend that thought she was getting revenge by knocking over a stand up shelf full of built models that I had. So, to get back at her, I rebuilt all of them! One in particular was the ERTL John Deere backhoe. I had built it straight out of the box without paint and had saved it for many years. After she broke it, I rebuilt it, painted it with John Deere yellow, made the front bucket articulate and the bucket on the rear fully articulate as well! Ended up being ten times nicer than it was originally! HA! Showed her! One of many reasons I prefer to stay single!!!!!!!!
  17. Thanks Tom, please get with me whenever your looking for anything you think you may have to scratch build. I have mastered many off the wall parts, especially those intended for truck models. If I didn't make it and it exists, I can probably lead you to it!
  18. I too install the real thing and really like yours!
  19. LOL, I've had a few builds like that!
  20. It looks like a big egg on wheels! LOL
  21. Oh man..........that was gonna be my response!!!!!!!!!!!! You beat me to it!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Nope, it comes with one of those funky Chevy pickups with those hard, solid vinyl tires Revell liked to use in a lot of their kits back in the eighties.
  23. Hey, are the door handles cast onto that cab? I mastered some really nice "Ford" style 70's push button handles that would work well on it!
