  1. Now that's just too cool!
  2. All you need is a lunch box to put the parts in and you could recreate that old Johnny Cash song!
  3. I thought I was being specific? I wrote "Ebay auction" in the subject line? Do I need to be more specific than that?
  4. Ok now, don't go spending your life savings on this one! http://www.ebay.com/itm/lug-nut-1928-Chevrolet-truck-PARTING-OUT-200-CLASSIC-CARS-hot-rat-rod-antique-/370576922437?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item56481b1745
  5. I woke up last night suddenly, shaking, some drool on my lip, wondering what was wrong. Then I realized, I don't know the status of the new Moebius kits! LOL
  6. Next time, just make a diorama of a street and set the air cleaners in a row right in the middle of the street. When they ask, tell them " it's so low, it's sub level! LOW ENOUGH FOR YA!" LOL Pretty sweet build!
  7. I think you might be thinking about Hobby Link Japan. this thread is about HobbyLinc.com. They are in Atlanta Georgia.
  8. For anyone that loves drag models, if you miss out on Scott's parts, your gonna be sorry!!!!!! I ordered everything he had and plan on getting more!!!!! VERY, VERY nice stuff! Scott's a pretty great guy to deal with as well!
  9. That has to be the world's most laziest "Pro"!
  10. I had a bunch of AFX and Tyco sets! All the sets that had semi trucks!!!!!! My favorite was the Peterbilt with the AFX van trailer and the police car with operating lights. I remember getting that set for Christmas one year. I never understood the type in the video though? They're going so fast you almost can't see them?! I still have all my cars and a complete Tyrone Malone drag truck racing set from Matchbox where the cars can spin out and change direction. Cool stuff!!!!!!!! I have been drooling over some of the 1/43 Scalelectrix cars and the 1/25 scale cars as well. They are col enough just to use as static models!!!!
  11. Could you please take a pic of the little black semi truck in that parts box?
  12. Very cool! I like those "O" ring air bags! Cool idea!
  13. I actually got out of the "casting" part for reasons like this. If I could afford it, I would have just given my parts away. I never wanted to make a living casting parts. I just wanted to make other modelers happy by offering them something never offered before. I get a huge kick out of seeing a part that I mastered on someone else's model! That makes it all worth while to me! Now I just create the masters and let other casters handle the money side of it.
  14. That's not a Cat motor. It vaguely resembles a 3408 Cat engine but I think it's from a Volvo. It's European for sure.
  15. What it boils down too is that, that seller will only end up selling less parts. If you master or cast a part and provide it to the public, there will always be the chance that it will be copied. However, not many people will go to the trouble of buying the silicone and resin just to make a few copies when they can just buy them already made. For those that have the sole intention of buying one part to copy themselves and try to sell, that's pretty sad. It is usually well know by modelers who created the initial part. I have people tell me all the time that they think people are recasting my wheels or whatever. I just laugh and tell them that if they want to go to that much trouble, have at it! I prefer that my parts only be cast by very skilled casters as to me, the copy is a reflection of the master I created. I try to make the master as perfect as possible so I expect the same from the copy. The only time I think it's ok to cast someone else's parts is when they are no longer available. Only then would I make a copy and even then, it would only be for me or a close friend. We have to support each and every resin caster out there! Without them, we would not have the thousands of awesome little parts that the model companies never made! You never know what cool things a caster will offer up for sale some day. The only way to have them keep offering new things is to keep them in business!
  16. Insane! Can you imagine how that looks through a childs eyes! They would never want to leave!
  17. Hey Rob, the main thing needing to be done is to get a pan of very warm water (not boiling!) Just hot tap water. Place your spray cans in that water and pull them out every few minutes to shake them up. As long as the parts your spraying are at room temp when you go to spray, it should be fine. Spray your light coats, taking the model back in to where it's warm between coats. Under a warm lamp would be a good place to let it warm up.
  18. I wanna know who gets paid to stand by that sculpture all day and wipe off hand prints!
  19. Mine had the 258 straight six, Chrysler TorqueFlight trans and Ford 9" rear end. It was a little sleeper!
  20. Laugh????? It looks like your off to a great start to me!!!!!!!!!
  21. It's killing me to read this. Bear with me as I am typing through tears. I'm so sorry for your loss. I am a HUGE animal lover and I don't have a dog at this time but I do have five cats. I had seven but two died of cancer about two years ago. Just today, I came home from the vet. I had to drop off another one of my cats for surgery to remove a tumor. There's no telling if she will make it or not and they want 1500.00 to do the surgery. I'd give everything I own to save my babies. Only an animal lover can understand the bond we have with our pets. They're family... Rex will be loved in heaven.........
  22. Any word on when the purple ones will be available from AutoWorld? Does anyone have a red one that they would rather trade for a white one?
  23. The funny thing is, I knew it was Patrick Star that said that before I read this thread! LOL I watch all the Spongebob cartoons!
